Batman, Massive, and Punk Rock Jesus will ensure that I hit the store before heading to northern Michigan for an extra-long weekend. One of them will get shotgun, the others will have to sit with Batman and Robin and X-Men Legacy in the back seat. And nobody better whine about listening to Radiolab podcasts on the way!
BQ: My 10 year was a couple years back. I’m glad I went, but I’ll never go to another. I had fun, but with the people I still have fun with on a regular basis anyway. And I could definitely feel all the “awkward high school reunion” scenes from TV and movies weighting heavy on everyone’s interactions.

American Vampire: Lord of…- This has been awesome, I expect that to continue.
Batman- Cloonan + Batman= Smiles!
Blue Estate- Been waiting on this for a couple months now, excited for the conclusion.
Cap n’ IronMan- Pretty cool, but nothing too special
Conan- Every issue of this has been fantastic.
Gambit- I’m optimistic this will be cool, Gambit is, but we’ll see how it turns out.
Punk Rock Jesus- Fuck yeah, stoked for this
The Creep- Arcudi is great, so I’m giving it a shot.
The Massive- I’m still digging the world building that is going on, new artist should be interesting.
BQ: No, I still see the people I like from High School. Plus then I’d have to talk about how I’m in college at thirty, and have accomplished almost nothing, which isn’t something I enjoy explaining. I could imagine checking out my 20th though.

I actually started reading Gambits last series a few months before it ended and enjoyed it way more than I thought I would. But I was much happier with Marvel back then, so I’m passing on this one.
I am gonna read Gambit and then regift it.

Facebook takes some of the fun out of high school reunions. All the fun of high school reunions are seeing who got fat, bald, and still stuck in the 1980s.

Not a huge amount I’m interested in this week. May pick up The Sensational Spider-Man point 1 and/or Gambit 1 digitally or possible a dead tree copy of the Daredevil annual depending on what all the reviews are like.
To answer your bonus question, never been to a school reunion, never plan to. I hated almost everyone at that place every micro second I was there, the few I don’t detest I’m still in contact with. The only way I’ll ever go back is if I get really famous and feel the urge brag about it and see how worse off than me my classmates are, but really I don’t thin I’ll bother.
I’ve got a really light week, Suicide Squad and Batman:) Really pumped and can’t wait to pick them up.

Was going to be Suicide Squad but i’ve finally given up on it, frequently threatens to be great then just falls short imho anyway.

BQ; I would love to have a reunion with the folks I took the GED with lol! I wonder if any of them passed? I don’t know any of them though, it was a two day test and I never saw them before or after. My wife has not had intrest in going to H/S or college reunion but I would go with her if she wanted to.
I wonder how many “Court of Owls: Epilogue”s we’ll get. I mean, is DC really going to be able to let this money-making event die? Outside of TALON of course. (And I am shocked that the cover of TALON #0 doesn’t say “From the Court of Owls!…”)
BQ: I went to my (gulp) 20th high school reunion, and had a surprisingly good time. I liked my high school years well enough; not nearly as much as I loved college, but still a sweet time, as dysfunctional as it was. One funny thing that happened at the reunion: I found myself the sudden center of attention for every woman there who didn’t have kids and/or a husband! LOL I guess that once these female former classmates of mine realized that I was gay & childless, they loved the fact that I wasn’t showing off pictures of kids and bragging about the amazing family life I had that they didn’t. I guess I made them feel less insecure about themselves. So yeah. I spent the whole night sitting at a table with every hot girl I never wanted. 🙂
