June 6, 2018 5:24 pm This was a really fun reread and fun to hear you two talk about it. Thanks for picking it.
June 6, 2018 7:25 am I find it interesting that both Josh and James forgot that both Matt Fraction and James Robinson had runs on FANTASTIC FOUR after Hickman left. I mean, they weren't great, clearly. Heidi over at The Beat made the same mistake a month or two back. Hickman's FF run looms large, I guess. I truly only remember Robinson's run because he brought back Sleepwalker for, I assume, me only. I thank him.
May 14, 2018 12:58 pm I hear you guys about not going to physical shops anymore. That's where I'm at these days. I order online through DCBS and shop Comixology sales and that's it. A year or so ago, a comic shop opened literally within a five minute walk of my work. I was excited! Until I discovered that the owner was a Tier II sex offender for having owned child pornography. So, yeah. Fuck that guy and fuck that place. http://www.icrimewatch.net/offenderdetails.php?OfndrID=1553959&AgencyID=55149
May 11, 2018 10:49 am Here's February's press release which says pretty much what I said. https://www.dccomics.com/blog/2018/02/13/oversized-48-page-superman-one-shots-coming-in-may
May 11, 2018 10:48 am I thought I read online that the Action Comics Special was a way for Jurgens to wrap up his run on Action Comics after Bendis came in and DC quickly moved him over to the Superman books. A similar Superman Special is coming out soon that will wrap up Tomasi and Gleason's Superman run. But, since I've read none of these things, I couldn't say if these specials actually feel like a wrap up.
April 28, 2018 2:44 pm Wait. That wasn’t Hugo? Because that one fooled me too. I whispered “Hugo Weaving!!!” to my wife it when he showed up. That was some imitator.
April 24, 2018 1:20 pm Panera Asiago Cheese Bagels for life.
February 14, 2018 9:23 am For those interested, it looks like the complete Rock Candy Mountain is being released in two trades and both are in this month's Previews. I think vol 1 came out a while ago but they relisted it now that 2 has been solicited. If you buy them from Discount Comic Book Service, they'll run you $15 for both. That's the route I took.
October 23, 2017 11:04 am I had to quit reading Neil Gaiman and Michael Reeves' InterWorld novel because the main character was a high school student who only made old man references. The kid pulled out such red-hot pop culture as "The 3 Stooges", The Twilght Zone, and (most damning) Errol Flynn. It pulled me right now.
