I’m really happy that Zeb Wells is coming back to Avenging Spider-Man, I dropped it since he left it.
Got to agree about Wells coming back. He’s one of the best Spider-Man writers out there! Plus he’s actually the real star of the show no matter which star artist is on there.

Zeb Wells wrote one of my favorite single issues Marvel put out this year with Avenging Spider-Man #5, the Spidey/Cap team-up. I think this one can be just as special.

ahh I love old fashioned non-shiny comic art. It was before my time, so it’s not nostalgia, just refreshing and very cool.
I dig this Ditko style too, Samnee is good on DD as well and this is just a classic style cover, love how the ceiling or Spidey’s background color fades into the walls.

Agree on the JR SR comparison and I also agree with the comment about the empty place mat. It’s just a very Norman Rockwell vibe to it. And no other words than the title to clutter the art.
