I've been a comic book fan ever since i read Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men. Joss is, was, and forever shall be my master so that I would read something of his was never in doubt but the fact that he opened up this world for me is fantastic.
I get comics every week now and I buy the trades of arcs that I find particularly awesome.

On Nov 20, 2009 4:00 PMI actually think they nailed the Volstagg role. If you saw Ray Stevenson in Rome then you would be totally on board with him playing Volstagg. He's all about living in the moment and enjoys the revels of life. When they'd announced the actors but not the parts they were playing I guessed Stevenson would be Volstagg. It just works. Trust me.

On Nov 10, 2009 9:35 PM@Paul: You're right, it doesn't quite feel like the Kick-Ass of Millar. I'm assuming they're trying to go as broad as possible with the appeal of this trailer. The more people they make curious now the better the ticket sales will be. I'll still go see it, even if Nicholas Cage is in it.

On Nov 6, 2009 3:10 AMAwesome costumes everyone. Sadly Halloween hadn't really kicked in here in Australia when I was a kid (all those years ago) so it's never been big among my group of friends. I do still like dressing in costume. The people at work look at me funny though.
