September 2, 2013 9:42 am You're welcome, Conor. And thanks to you & Josh for taking the time to respond individually to so many of our comments. As always, a class act . . .
September 2, 2013 9:23 am Thanks for posting the link for your pull list -- I'll give it a look . . .
September 1, 2013 10:26 pm My thanks to you for creating this site and building such a welcoming community. Like many others, I have always valued the overall positive tone of this site, the lack of venom so easily found elsewhere on the web. You should be proud of what you made both for yourself and others. And you should feel completely free to walk away and focus on other aspects of your lives. Change is part of life, after all . . . I first found iFanboy through (ironically or not) an ad in a DC comic. This is doubly ironic (or not) as soon thereafter DC announced the New 52 reboot, and your stellar coverage of that ongoing story hooked me into the website from then on. Because of this site and its users I have discovered wonderful series I would not have otherwise. I'll miss the news updates, conversations and everything else. Thanks for sticking with the podcasts, though. I would have understood if you had to walk away completely, but, I am happy that you could keep one segment going still. Two years ago, I tried finding your table at the New York Comic Con, but kept getting turned around somehow. I was looking forward to maybe meeting you this year, though, I guess that won't be happening now. So, let me just say again here, thanks for everything (including, yes, any relevant fish :))
September 1, 2013 7:37 pm I never liked the ending of Blackest Night for the same reason: it was simply a blatant set-up for Brightest Day. Then again, I felt the whole story pretty much fell apart after issue two . . .
August 30, 2013 12:34 pm Well, didn't Marvel kill off the Space Knights in Infinity last week? That's kinda admitting defeat on the issue, I would think . . .
August 29, 2013 11:33 pm Not that reading Superman Beyond helped clear things up at all, but, yeah, I get what you're saying . . .
August 29, 2013 10:43 pm Have you read any of it? Despite its leering title, it's actually pretty well-written character drama (with explicit sex scenes, yes). I've been enjoying it.
August 29, 2013 10:37 pm I suspect at this point Hank Pym may be relegated to the same status as Dr. Blake in the first Thor movie, a character referred to but never seen. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a scene in Ant-Man where we get some background exposition like "Pym Particles were discovered by . . . " and that's it. Personally, I'd like to see Pym in some form, if for no other reason, so that we can have Janet as well . . .
August 29, 2013 7:43 pm Has Whedon said officially that Thanos won't be in Avengers 2 in the same way he's stated Loki won't be? If not, I would expect a small glimpse of him making mischief behind the scenes, but not a large amount of screen time. Personally, I'm glad Loki won't be in Avengers 2. Don't get me wrong: I loved him in Avengers, and look forward to him in Thor 2. I just think that they should be careful with overexposing him. Let him reside in the Asgard realm and let other villains have a turn to shine . . .
August 29, 2013 5:40 pm I find it interesting how many people are including Trillium based on a single issue. I mean, I loved it, and look forward to the rest of the series, but can't really call it one of my favorite books month after month . . .
