That One Comic We All Remember
October 4, 2012 8:41 am Also Ashen Victor. I wouldn't say it was the first manga I read but one of the best. It kinda transcends its culture and really breaks stereotypes. I reread this book more than any other book I have ever owned. I would probably say twice a year.

That One Comic We All Remember
October 4, 2012 5:10 am Am I the only one that was sucked in by Maximum Carnage!? After that Jim Lee's X-men #1 had me making mine Marvel for a long time. Then I discovered Starman, Swampthing, and Hellblazer. To this day DC has been my top pulled company. Also that big red dude with the goggles that kept catching my eye, haven't missed a mignolaverse book since the Corpse and the iron shoes. that is the comic that left the biggest impression on me, it was unlike anything I had seen before in story and art.

Heads Up: Dark Horse Comics Previews – December 2012
September 23, 2012 12:15 am Mignola's excitement in recent interviews about not being forced to represent any specific culture or design motif for hell has got me super pumped to see what he comes up with. I think he's going to blow our minds like never before.

July 25, 2012 – B.P.R.D.: Hell on Earth – Exorcism #2
July 26, 2012 1:54 am I am always extremely excited when a mignolaverse book gets POW. Until recently with a lot of great image books being published Mignolaverse books were the only books I would pick up without the slightest page flip at the store. My confidence in the quality never faltered. I am still shocked that these books aren't selling better and at least getting more pulls here. This page seems to be full of well educated scholars. B.P.R.D. is deffinintly a book for scholars as well as people who just want to see bloody monster fights.

Spidey Deserves Better
July 17, 2012 2:27 am I really tried to give this movie a chance but I really couldn't have cared less as I was watching it. Everything just seemed stale and rehashed. I was a fan of the mechanical web shooters and Emma Stone as Gwen though. I think this film is silently warning anyone that wants to listen "WB" that rebooting the origin of the same character over and over in such a short time span is going to only weaken the property. Spiderman is doing well because it's the first to try the stunt but mark my words each follower will do worse, generate less buzz, and seem more irrelevant than the last.
