June 19, 2013 3:46 pm Welp fair enough... you guys need someone who really wants a press badge next year? I don't want to get into trouble with security again.
June 19, 2013 2:18 pm First I want to say as someone there, glad you enjoyed the con too! You bring up some good stuff but there's a few points I think could be pointed out. This is a second year con, not to excuse or say anything other than it is still growing. I find it funny that you point to having trouble finding the floor, and not the line to get in on any given morning, but maybe that's normal? Also is this a medium sized con? The numbers came back and they were very comparable to C2E2, which seemed large to me? This is a con that will be growing too, they filled up what space was given the first year, then again the second year, leading one to believe they could get more space and do it for a third. I bet there will be enough buzz now to get publishers there.
March 27, 2013 12:29 pm Secret Six is a great choice also around that time R.E.B.E.L.S. was an ever growing cast that worked. Then yes in WildStorm I would say the Authority and Wild C.A.T.S. is worth a read. Most people don't think of it as the same thing, but Ninja Turtles can hit the same note as a team book. Someone below mentioned X-factor which is amazing. Also going back a bit Slingers is one of my favorite team books of all time. Good teams are always a gem.
March 27, 2013 12:26 pm Yes, one of the best things Marvel still does.
March 13, 2013 4:59 pm I won't comment to the quality of a story that hasn't come out yet, that's ridiculous. But to say that going back and exploring Batman's past is 'bold' seems silly too. It feels like we go back and add a piece of history, or somehow play relevance to a current thing by mixing it with Bruce's childhood. Now just flashing back feels not bold, but boring. I'm sure Snyder has a plan and they'll be decent comics, but I'm not very excited by the concept.
February 6, 2013 4:38 pm Gee why could the telepathic, telekinetic? shape shifting, flying, super strong, invulnerable Martian with no real reason to ascribe to 'humanitarian' principles be the most dangerous being among those with a few toys and a few good skills? HMMM, a real brain teaser that one! Also, yes there should be some Booster. Did JLI get canned? I can't keep track of which DC books are or aren't published anymore, unless if they have Batman in them.
February 6, 2013 4:32 pm It's uh... Spider-woman's that's it!
January 8, 2013 5:00 pm Nothing is going to phase me on this one, I think it's a terrible idea, I'm still somewhat pissed off at the whole thing, and frankly the quality of the writing of the issues (698 is superfluous and conventionally bad writing) and I am hoping that the book flops. This strips out every reason I read Spider-Man, and normally I'm against saying this, but we can't get back to the status quo fast enough.
November 14, 2012 1:53 pm So I liked this new Deadpool and I'm a long time Deadpool fan. What kills me is everything mentioned was Daniel Way's take on the character. Daniel Way's Deadpool turned me off of a character that I went out of my way to own every issue of and otherwise enjoyed everything that wasn't his. The bits you guys mostly liked about this comics sans good art are more what I think should be in a Deadpool comic.
