Name: Art Murillo

Bio: Hello fellow cool people. I've been reading funny book's ever since I saw my 1st spinner rack at a Thrifty's pharmacy back inthe late 80's. I've stuck with the medium throught it's variuous incarnations, and am one of the few people who liked all the hologram covers of the early 90'sI did hit a rough patch when I entered high school and comics fell out of favor, in choice of sports and the discovery of girls. Priorties right. Even though, during those 6 years I wasen't activley reading comics I still tried to stay current with all the wackines that was going on in comics. Once I left high school and started providng for myself I was hooked back in. Oh and what a time to be a comic fan, the early 2000's, or as I like to think of it the comic renaissance. We had Bendis, Millar, Morrison, Johns and countless others who have evolved  my such beloved medium to something I was proud to try and share with others. Eventhough no one was really intrested, but I still tried and actually got some of my friends to read a few TPB's. I even staring going to cons, which blew me away with how many people share my passion for these " funny books". Evevn though many of us have differing opinions, it is still refreshing that we all still have a love for this art form, and waiting to see what else it wiil bring us.

August 7, 2013 2:07 pm Wow thanks @jeff Reid for sifting through all the time laden continuity mess to paint a concise and easy to follow picture. To tell you the truth I never really cared much for this character but it looks like he was not used properly, and then when used just just thrown into the mix. Poor kid never had a chance.
June 25, 2013 9:29 am What no love for the original , Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. They had some good times there.
March 27, 2013 2:39 pm I like to do mud run such as Spartan race and tough mudder, but haven't really done much in the way of showing my geeky side at these events. But like @impossibilly said with the new under armor line i'm going to rock a superman shirt.
January 18, 2013 5:00 pm Ron your definitely gonna be missed good luck, and congrats to you too Paul glad to hear you more now.
January 10, 2013 3:13 pm Graham Nolan. He was drawing Detective Comics around the time i was getting into comics so his version of Batman is what I always go back to.
December 6, 2012 4:02 pm @Molly I understand that making a cool coustume is a very giant and difficult undertaking, but thats no excuse to act like a jerk which this person did. Like i said in my comment before we have had many good experince's with cool cosplayers that are more than happy to take the time and pose and take a picture with our kid, but in the past few years it seems to me that there have been a growing number that do indeed feel some sense of entitlement. At the end of the day no one asked anyone to dress up, and each person made that decsion as they walked out of there door wearing whatever elaobrate coustume they made. While I can respect the amount of time and effort that goes to making these awesome coustume, that no excuse to being rude. Especially somone wearing somrthing so obtrusive at a place like SDCC where it's already hard to manuver with so many people.
December 6, 2012 2:49 pm My family and I attend about 2-3 cons a year and go merely for panels and for the chance to buy cool hard to find stuff, but our 4 year old son loves the chance to take a picture with some of his favorite charcters. So for the most part we have enjoyed most of the cosplayer we have met , but over the last few years I have noticed that more and more cosplayer beleive they own the con floor. Some time they wear huge elaborate coustmes that could get in peoples way. Which happened to us this past SDCC . I'm that jerk who has a stroller on the convention floor, as i said before we have a 4 year old and he loves con, but trying to walk through the throngs of people espically at SDCC is just too much for a littl kid so i take a stroller which we got our fair amounts of dirty looks and snickers from pertty much every one. So i'm going pushing our stroller down one of the overly crowed aisle at con where we brush up against a cosplayer weraing a coutume that im not familiar with that involves a set of wings that much stick out about 4ft on each side and some very high platform shoes. Her wings just grazed the handle of our stroller , but you might as well thought we tore the damn things off. She gave me one of the diriest looks i've evere gotten and muttered some obscenities under her breath as she stormed of. I'm not to ignorant to be aware of my own fault in this by bringing a stroller to an event like this, but for this person to not take any responsibility in her part for her obstructive coustume is not right either her piss poor attitude.
October 4, 2012 9:25 am Wow didn't know the 1% thought of themselves that way.
January 18, 2012 12:13 am @oopsxlandmine that is an awesome and well thought rebutal, but I still belive that Cyke has an advantage. He has been fighting since he was a teenager and never had anything handed to him as Cap did with the super soldier serum.
January 16, 2012 7:24 pm Not so fast Josh. I think Cyclops has a decent chance at beating Cap.i mean he shoots freaking lasers ( or optic blasts) from his eyes. What does Cap got some rusty sheild and old steroids running through his veins.
