Probably looking forward to Green Lantern and The Boys, although I'm intrigued by The Roberts enough to give it a shot.

BQ: Spent all day outside with my son, sipping on iced tea, grilling up some steaks, and reading the 3rd and 4th Powers trades.  Labor Day bliss.

Loved Murder Mysteries, and now have Scene of the Crime to find and read - thanks for the reviews, Mike!

As for other mystery comics, I'm not sure if it's still in print but I remember liking Grant Morrison's The Mystery Play - the artwork was fantastic.

Josh - thanks.  The whole hyphen thing with Spider-Man has bothered me.  Dunno why, it just has.  Now I can rest easy.

Mike - another great article.  I've been struggling with this as well, and the thing that I've been finding is that when I buy a lot of comics, I tend to read very quickly and not enjoy the experience as much.  And it's hard to go back when there's an enormous stack of trades gazing at you in contempt and you know next Wednesday you have to go back and do it all over again.  So I'm in the process of weeding out the books I read just to keep up with universe continuity, and focusing on the books I really enjoy in issue form and waiting for trades on the rest.

Final Crisis, the RIP tie-in's, Garth Ennis' Crossed, and just more of Terry Moore.

BQ - Fincher's Benjamin Button, Rian Johnson's The Borthers Bloom, and Coens' Burn After Reading

A crowd of the filthy, the downtrodden, the hopeless, reaching out for salvation to an enormous hammer embedded in the foreground.

I love you, Steve McNiven (he said sheepishly, digging his toe in the dirt).  That splash page alone would have made this issue my POW.

July 24, 2008 8:14 am This was my first issue of Robin, and hands down my POW.  Now I have to add another comic to the monthly pull!

Ron -the site just keeps getting better and better - you guys are doing a great job!

Now give my wallet a rest and stop recommending so many books that turn out to be great!

Invincible #51

Two-Face: Year One

SCUD in one volume finally!!!  Now how long do I have to wait to get Dan Dare collected in a trade?!

BQ: Cold Beer + Son's kiddie pool = heat defeated.

Conor - My local Borders has Volumes 1 and 3-5 of No Man's Land...i'm guessing it would be a good idea to pick them up!
