@Conor

But you may have 50% more new characters which ar fan favourites! :)

But yeah, I couldn't care less.  I have more problems with trade releases and the publishing side of things, as long as a story is good I buy it, if it isn't, I don't.

I found the first Spider Woman motion comic to be utterly ridiculous.  It's a comic book, I don't need voice overs, howabout you wait a little between frames, what if some frames are supposed to have more impact according to size, i.e. splash page.  What about art that gets out of frame.

Unlike Ron, I did feel like pausing the video but then found it useless as I couldn't read anything, I still don't know and now don't care what S.W.O.R.D stands for.

Motion comics are just poor cut and paste/ stop motion/ flash cartoons.  If I want that, I'll go watch a South Park episode.

Also look at how much is exiting your digital wallet, the first episode contained 67 original frames which approximates to just over 3 panels per page in a 22 page book.  But that sounds alright it was only $1 andyou pay $3 for the printed version.  No loss to Marvel.

Next episode is $2, hey, hey, look who's making money!

Future books most likely are going to be ones that have already been sold in print form, so it's just capitalising on prior profits.

Disney actually has an excellent oppurtunity to destroy Diamond's control over comic publications and knock the crappy old distribution system out of the park.

But it's not going to happen.

I have to agree with Paul on the timing issue, I can take between 15 minutes to 45 minutes to read a single issue depending on what is happening, the density of the subject and the quality of the art, sometimes I can just sit and and process a really well formed panel at a slow speed so I can take in the art.

Why make it motion???  Apart from Apple wanting to make use of sound and video components of their devices.  Why is it so hard to just leave speech bubbles alone and let the end user be in control of the pacing.

This is definitely "Emperor's New Clothes", online distributed or digital comics will start selling as soon as they make a decent coloured E-reader and we've only just reached text as being good on devices to date.  Until then its still print for me.

Are the interiors to Captain America:Reborn as good as the exterior artwork (which should be turned into a poster).

The "Iron Man Armor Wars" is a piece which really strikes a chord with me, I've always liked stylistic artwork but it can be hit and miss, this one is definitely a hit.

Since I was never really too aware of GI Joe as a cartoon, I knew of it, but I tended to focus completely  on Transformers, TMNT, X-men, He-Man, Voltron, Astroboy, I pretty much expected what I got.

Sure things were silly, I could tell the special effects weren't great as soon as they began, there was altogether a lot of glass shattering everywhere, it was still cool.

My only worry is that it is remarkably close to a live version "Team America: World Police" minus comedy plus Star Wars like battle scenes.

It seems clear that there is a Wolverine Vs. Sabretooth type rivalry going on between Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, not to mention both are respectively the coolest characters on both sides.

Plus the mandatory Baroness vs. Scarlett, female fights.  I wonder if all of the female US military are forced to wear uniforms with maximum cleavage present...  It seems to be the criteria of selection at the GI Joe base.

Once again with the token black guy being slow and talking differently to everbody else as if he's from another country, Mr. Wayans - please play a token black guy with that hip black talk to make whitie feel good that there is equality in GI Joe.  For a moment I thought they might pursue a romantic encounter between Scarlett and Ripchord, alas just heaps of sexual tension and then the major romantic kiss goes to Duke and The Baroness who have no chemistry whatsoever.

It seems I'm complaining and asking too much from this film, I'm sure it fills a hole in all GI Joe fans hearts rather than stabbing it repeatedly like Transformers did for me.

I share many of the sentiments above, one of the greatest edits of a video con show yet and Robert Kirkman gets better every year.

Loved the "like half the girls here have wings"

The slow mo and fast forwards were perfectly edited.  Jimski looks like he's watched far too many hip hop / rap music videos.

The majority of everybody else were pretty fly (for being you know what guys).  Except Kirkman, he seemed t know exactly what to do, even caught on during the filming of his segment.  Josh's slow-mo of the empty wallet was great too.

I'm watching the opening for the 6th time and I actually have a heap of things to do.

Can't wait for the next 2 segments!!

This is almost the same as the cover for issue 12, I loved this series, it was my introduction to Jock and I've followed his career since.

Wait Issue 12's cover doesn't have Roque on it, just a palm tree.  Still atleast its all Jock art.

Casting choices were interesting.
