I have, for the most part, enjoyed this mini-series.  It is always refreshing to see writers exercise their creativity by using…

@WadebeforeSlade

There was a CGC booth.  Oh and I didn't know that they moved the con to a smaller room.  Hopefully Wondercon sticks around; I like smaller cons much better.

The con was quite relaxing actually (well, relaxing relative to San Diego).  Even on Saturday, I didn't need to elbow people out of my way to get around.  Marvel didn't have a booth which was odd.  I was hanging out at Alex Robinson's booth, and he thinks that since Watchmen is coming out, Marvel didn't want to compete.  Then again, DC did have a small booth with very few signings.  From what I gathered, I think Capcom had the most people hanging out at their booth.  Street Fighter 4 and all.

The Alex Robinson panel was great by the way.  Bought a HURM shirt from Ron (which unfortunately I didn't wash inside out).  Got candy from Josh for asking a question (thanks Josh!).  Good times all around.

I'm going to miss out on the Tiki Tour (arriving in SF late Friday night) and the Isotope party (meeting up with relatives)!!  Oh well.  I intend to catch you guys to get a HURM shirt.  Will you guys be hanging out at a particular booth when you're not running after creators for interviews?

@conor

I'm with you on that one.  Definitely a clutch decision on Wednesday.

It seems like yesterday that I watched that first episode a million times to procrastinate on my school work at college... good times

Great article, and what a coincidence!  My friends and I actually had a huge discussion about books and reading a few weeks ago.  My friend, who has a degree in English and loves Victorian Era literature, said that books will never go extinct and that she will continue to buy actual books.  Her boyfriend, on the other hand, was a Physics major in college and thought otherwise.  Just the fact that Oprah endorsed the Kindle to her whole audience shows us that the digitization of literature is coming.  I believe that no matter what happens, there will be people who will always treasure the feeling of flipping pages on a book.  That's the same with us comic book readers.  Maybe in 100 years everything will be in some form of digital format, but right now, we still enjoy the feeling of the paper on our fingertips as we flip to the next Lienil Yu splash page.

@coltrane68 - That's exactly how it felt.  It's getting wrapped up in one more issue, but I feel like we haven't spent enough time with this world yet.

@ohcaroline - Yeah looking back, I did love that Wolverine scene.

@Jumpingjupiter

 Yeah, rereading is the best.  I realized I didn't do that at all when I had a bloated pull list.

I edited my review a little bit.  The Wolverine scene was absolutely necessary, but again there is little in the issue and the series as a whole to expand these characters overall role.  I guess we're getting that Wolverine noir mini for that.
