This was a lot of fun. I was afraid they were going to take themselves too seriously like other D&D…

Another decent issue from Spider-Man, but I still want something more for this title.  I’m still not used to it…

May 2, 2012 2:48 pm Man, I feel bad now for complaining last week. If this was the same accident then it caused a delay of all the comics in South Texas going as far north as Austin. My condolences to the families and all affected.
May 1, 2012 5:03 pm There are some cheap shots in this piece, especially coming from a site for comic book fans. A lot of the criticisms of his actual work are about how little money they earned or viewers they got. I would think we would care more for the quality of the work which many people agree is top notch. Sure, most of his missteps have been in film but the film process is strange and no one has shown Whedon the faith that Marvel has shown him. I am confident of the film's quality and it's success.
February 1, 2012 9:24 am So, everybody knows what's going on in the Dr. Manhattan cover right?
December 27, 2011 12:22 am "And breaking the fourth wall? this ain't deadpool, is it?" Do you mean on the cover? That's pretty standard for covers and not just on Deadpool books. Here's Flash doing it: http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2917/964/1600/flash163.jpg
October 21, 2011 12:57 pm What's sad is that the guy seems to enjoy some of what he's seeing, like when he compliments the guy with the archangel costume. But he's gotta put himself above other people. He's one of those geeks who's like "I'm a geek but at least I'm not THAT geek." There are a lot of those people in nerddom. Videogame geeks look down on tabletop geeks. Tabletop geeks look down on role-playing geeks, and role-playing geeks look down on LARPers. So hopefully this article will help people recognize those feelings within themselves and try to show a little more empathy. Otherwise, Josh is going to tell them to "eat a bag of dicks."
September 16, 2011 1:53 pm Speaking about speeding through comics, I watched the Totally Rad Show review of Action #1 and Detective #1 and they talked a little about the digital thing. They talked about buying a comic for 4 dollars and getting 10 minutes worth of story out of it. All I could think is, "You're not doing it right.". Even if I only ever read a comic once (which admittedly is true of most of my weekly stack) that comic takes me a good half hour to digest. I don't even see how you can get more than the basic story beats reading a whole book in 10 minutes. It's like watching a movie at 2x speed. Sure, you'll know what happens in the story but you're going to miss a lot of it.
September 15, 2011 10:14 am I have not been very happy with Fear Itself. I didn't read the tie-ins but I was promised that I wouldn't need to. The main series, though, has been very disjointed and felt rushed. The art has been okay but the story has just lumbered on from plot point to plot point without making any of this mean anything. This issue is the first one that I put down after reading and I was happy with. The characters finally have a clear motivation. We're finally aware of what The Serpent's plan is and what the heroes are going to try to do to stop him. I'm actually looking forward to the next issue.

August 31, 2011 4:18 pm You guys should have a DCNU Fantasy Draft.
August 31, 2011 3:24 pm I would say Cyborg is more like Vince Howard, what with the daddy issues and all.
