January 11, 2013 6:43 pm The Darkhawk spread reminds me of a scene from the film "The Mask".

Johnny Storm, The Human Torch: Where Do I Start?
January 10, 2013 7:46 pm The story about the kid who set himself on fire to emulate the Torch was so well done and emotional, but the 80's Flock of Seagulls hair was a tad distracting.

You Tell Us: Who is Your Definitive Batman Artist? [Update]
January 10, 2013 4:43 pm Neal Adams. He made Batman lean and athletic, not like a ballet dancer, more like a Safety in football. Athletic and fast and strong, always the best combination. The lean physique lent itself for cardio endurance, which meant a longer fight or extended chase. The Miller Batman to me is too heavy and bulky to do anything in a fight because he would run out of breath from carrying that extra weight. I t did allow for more power, but at a expense of speed. The ear are long and pointy, the cape long and flowing, his stature relaxed like Bruce Lee right before he would spring into action. Neal Adams defined the look of Batman for everyone that followed him with the exception of Frank Miller. The danger, the drama, the charisma, and the sexiness, all comes from Neal. Miller went a different direction, Bruce Timm went a different direction, everyone else took their template from Neal Adams.

December 19, 2012 – Hawkeye #6
December 20, 2012 8:36 pm Can't agree more! It seems like the NOW! stuff just keeps coming on the heels of the previous week. But thus far most of the titles have been very good. If they can keep the quality this high with this schedule remains to be seen, but for now they are killing The New 52 in terms of execution. Except for Batman. That has been the one consistent bright spot at DC since the re-launch.
