New Comics for 10.24.2012 is going to be old enough to know better but still too young to care
October 22, 2012 7:11 pm BQ: 48. Been in this since '72, and recall having Hulk 181 on a field trip in school...and getting in trouble for reading it at the Planetarium..

The Best of the Week in Panels – 10.17.2012
October 20, 2012 3:16 am Love the Hawkeye panel, laughed out loud when I saw it. But no love for Wonder Woman where the guy gets his HEAD BITTEN OFF? That was a show stopper!

Comic Book Men: Take Two
October 19, 2012 6:42 pm "Classy" and "Reality Show" in the same context just isn't possible. I'm sure Midtown is a great shop but reality programming appeals to the lower tier so I'm confident the producers will insert some fake stereotypes to cater to the reality audience. I hope I'm wrong but we will see.

NYCC 2012: Trailer for ‘Iron Man & Hulk: Heroes United’
October 14, 2012 4:53 pm Marvel is trying too hard to complicate instead of duplicate what should be fairly simple. DC is killing them in this field because they are staying close to the source material and using animation in the styles of the sources used, New Frontier, All Star Superman, etc. Using CGI when the source material isn't CGI is disconcerting to a lot of viewers and just complicates the visual that we are accustomed to seeing.

YOUNG AVENGERS is Go with Gillen and McKelvie
October 10, 2012 3:19 am As much as I enjoyed the Phonogram books, I just can't get into the Young Avengers. The name is ridiculous and when I read the first series Iron Man actually threatened to tell their parents on them if they got out of line. It hurt just to write that. Visually the cover looks good but this will be a pass for me.

REVIEW: Marvel Comics: The Untold Story by Sean Howe

That One Comic We All Remember
October 3, 2012 9:02 pm Iron Man #77 from the early 70's. I was a big A's fan and they were in the middle of winning three straight world championships and Iron Man referenced their shortstop Campy Campaneris and I was just floored by that!
