Hi Mike, sorry to slam you for something you weren't responsible for. My apologies also for communicating my dislike for these covers in such a disrespectful and unqualified manner. Best,

Joshua

November 10, 2010 1:13 pm Man, where's Akamuu these days? I miss seeing his reviews before heading to the shop on Wednesdays.
November 9, 2010 11:33 am Really looking forward to Nguyen on this book.
November 9, 2010 11:27 am I'm sorry to see some members of the Spider-trust - especially Kelly - leave the book, but I'm looking forward to this. Especially looking forward to the rotation of Ramos, Martin, and Caselli.

I suppose the relationship itself never feels preachy, it's more Teddy's sexuality that is used as an argument. The relationship, as you say, feels authentic. Hulkling's discussion with one of the Sons of the Serpent felt very preachy to me. I wish it would have been left out, Heinberg seemed to handle their relationship pretty deftly after that encounter: quietly and subtly. Leaving Teddy's dialogue out (or writing a different dialogue) would have been more in line with Heinberg's treatment of Billy and Teddy relationship and sexuality throughout the rest of the book. Glad you're enjoying this.
