BATGIRL #15

It’s a new year and a new look for Batgirl as superstar artist Dustin Nguyen (DETECTIVE COMICS) joins the creative team! The unsinkable Stephanie Brown’s second semester at Gotham U. starts like any other – new classes, new allies, a vigilante stalker – everything a gal could want! But what Gotham City’s Batgirl isn’t prepared for is the arrival of the mysterious “Order of the Scythe.” Who are they, and why have they set their sights on her? “The Lesson” begins here!

  1. Loved the preview.  I’m looking forward to this change.  I’m really glad they’re putting top talent on this book.  Dustin is definitely that.

  2. Agreed, Dustin Nguyen is awesome.  I never thought I would ever hear myself say that I’m enjoying a Batgirl book but this has been a lot of fun.

  3. Dustin Nguyen on this book…I didn’t think they could find a way to make me love this book even MORE, but by gum they did it! :O

  4. The preview really made me want to get this. For the first time ever I might pick up an issue of Batgirl.

  5. Beautiful cover. I’m gad I decided to give this book a second chance after the first 6 or so issues.

  6. So stoked for this book, especially now my fave artist in the universe is on it.

  7. So who’s drawing Streets Of Gotham now?  Or is it getting canceled after House Of Hush?  If HOH ever ends, that is?

  8. Well you would think it will since the real Bruce is back.  Will be interesting to see actually how they reconcile this, what will they do with Hush now, or will Hush try to sabotage his return?

  9. i love this book and am super excited for this issue, but due to money, i gotta drop some books and this one is on the chopping block. Hope this "wow"s me.

  10. What a pretty cover!

  11. Really looking forward to Nguyen on this book.

  12. The art in this was amazing. Glad to read another comic with Nguyen on board. The mini-bats story in the beginning was funny and anytime he gets to have a bat-character fight is a good thing. The story? Well it was average at best and unforgettable at worst. Shame, I wanted to continue this but I just don’t care about the characters. I can definitely see why people like this though.

  13. Cover of the week?

  14. Gave the new creative team a shot. Wish I didn’t. Yawn City.

  15. The first section is totally 5 star work. I absolutely loved the children’s style bat-history.

  16. DNguyen does some subpar work in this unfortunately.

Love it how Batgirl’s base of operations is called "Firewall," but thought Proxy and Oracle would actually prefer to be exclusive of each other, with O being the BoP cyber jocky, and Proxy having her own set of operatives, that woulda been coolah.
