August 27, 2011 4:26 am His Jonah Hex issues are beautiful, and colored beautifully as well, if you haven't read them yet.
August 27, 2011 4:08 am Similarly, if you're not into the current Civil Warring, Invasioning, or Dark Reigning going on at Marvel, you're SOL for the next half year or however long the current ALL NEW exciting status quo(!) is going on. On the whole I've found that the Marvel U is a lot more interconnected than DC's, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Whatever's going on at The House of Ideas is going on in almost their ENTIRE LINE. If you like whatever current theme they've got going, awesome! But if you don't really care how differently your favorite characters act when given a giant hammer? All you have to do is wait six months to a year and hope that you like their next Dark Age/Heroic Reign/whatever. As mentioned above by Jimski, there is also an "architect problem" going on at the other company, but Its less pronounced. Don't like Flashpoint? Its currently affecting the storyline of... almost none of your current ongoings. Don't like Geoff Johns? Prior to the relaunch, he's currently writing Green Lantern, Flashpoint, and... something else i'm sure. I agree with everything Josh wrote to the point that I didn't even think it needed to be said. Until I went online and saw that yes, there are people like this. Comics company bias is something you should outgrow when you're twelve, not thirty. I had no idea there were actual people anymore who only bought comics from one company. Or who actively cheered for an imaginary team. I have never met one of these people in real life. They must all live on the internet.
August 23, 2011 6:50 pm yeah i think i'm better off unfollowing him on twitter before it affects my view of his work. Comic creators are a sensitive bunch!
August 23, 2011 6:03 pm i don't really mind the lateness of this series. DC is treating this series like Marvel treated Whedon's Astonishing: off on its own island and unaffected by everything else going on in the DCU. as for this issue, love the concept, hate the art i've seen from the previews.
August 23, 2011 5:48 pm Thats the only part of the interview that kind of bugged me. It sort of goes against everything he's said in the past about not wanting to comics to be written like movies.
August 23, 2011 12:20 pm I noticed some prominent Marvel creators like Bendis taking some Twitter potshots at Morrison yesterday because of this interview and was quite surprised. Like, high school level stuff. I thought he was better than that. Read the interview, and unless you're Mark Millar(ha) I don't see much to get worked up about, and even in that case it seems to be a mutual dislike based on legitimate beef between the two.
August 22, 2011 3:01 pm you don't want to read a used copy of Lost Girls...
August 22, 2011 2:58 pm The conclusion to Ultimates 2 was satsifying enough that I didn't feel a need to read anymore beyond that. Which isn't to say that this new series won't be great, just that I'm content with the ending Millar and Hitch gave. Perhaps they did too good of a job ;)
August 8, 2011 7:22 pm I've never read these stories but i've always but I love with McFarlane's Spider-Man. Been waiting a while for this one, can't wait.
