This latest arc in Cap’s legacy is a grim look into the dark soul of an American hero. Sometimes I think it is more…

January 22, 2012 10:08 pm We recently moved to a new city and found out our apartment was right next to the only comic book shop. We stopped in to check it out and buy our weekly stack. The man working there did not greet us nor acknowledge our presence. When I asked if he had the latest issue of whatever I was reading he pointed at a wall with a disorganized selection of single issues. Needless to say, we never went back and now wait to buy our comics in our old town whenever we see our families. A first impression makes a big difference. Even though we have to wait every few months to buy our comics, we would rather buy from people who are friendly and a very clean, organized store. What we call OUR store is Fantastic Planet in Plattsburgh,NY and it is probably one of the best stores we have ever been to.
November 8, 2011 5:33 pm I'm also surprised JLU isn't up there. Also.........THE TICK!

August 15, 2011 9:05 pm I just signed in for the first time since the update and when I click on COMICS to look at the new ones for the week it says: Sorry, no Articles matched your criteria. The main page does seem a little cluttered. I think to look at different weeks of comics you should have all the weeks listed out on one page. Having to keep clicking back through each week to see what comics came out that week takes forever. I hope the search engine was improved. I haven't checked it yet but when I would search for a comic that was posted during a certain week it would never find it.
May 10, 2011 10:47 pm I thought Patrick Warburton as the Tick on the live-action series was a dead-on portrayal.
May 4, 2011 10:43 am Your review makes me love this comic even more than I already do. Thanks!
April 22, 2011 2:34 pm I also owe my love of comics to Vertigo. Transmetropolitan is my favorite series to date. I am guilty, though, for being that Vertigo lover who waits for the trades to come out. I LOVE Unwritten and Hellblazer and Sweet Tooth but I just think they read better in trade form.

I had the negative experience at the comics shop from the podcast. After emailing the owner and hearing from other people that his employees are very tolerant and open-minded people, we believe that the comments I heard were from a customer in the store. I aplogize to Comics Etc for accusing his employees and I know now that his store accepts all types of people. Because of the comments I wasn't in the store long enough to get a feel for it, but I'm told that the employees will go out of their way for their customers and that all should feel welcome there. I still feel awful that someone else would mock the comics I chose make comments about my looks. So if you're in Rochester, try out Comics Etc and do not avoid it because of my experience because mine was a misunderstanding.

April 10, 2011 10:26 pm I saw his drawing of Galactus in the Strange Tales II (issue 3?) and was so impressed by the level of detail that I had to get this book. Never have I been so impressed by someone's art in a comic book before. My comic book shop owner ordered Orc Stain for me but when I told him about the gronch he said I lost him. Lol.
March 18, 2011 8:45 pm Didn't mean to come off as a nit-picky jerk. I love the series! It's in the top 5 of what I'm reading right now in single issues. I loved the current issue especially because of the different styles the Twilight Guardian was portrayed in for comic series drafts. I'm super psyched for the next issue.
