This is hard for me to imagine, and it’s only 13 issues in, but I am liking Echo better than…

I have been a fan of G.I. Joe since I was a kid, but I was skeptical of this series…

So, Terry Moore is here.  I thought the first issue was a little uninspired, but like the first episode of…

March 1, 2013 1:30 pm I have similarly decided to trim my collection recently, especially after the realization that I was buying a lot of comics simply for the sake of buying them, and at $3.99 a pop, that just ain't cool. I have sold most of them on eBay, some on Craig's List, and a lot on mycomicshop.com (they seem to have the best deals.) I mean, how to get rid of them is up to you. Taking that leap is the hard part. But for what it's worth, I agree with you. Don't be like the snail!
October 14, 2009 3:32 pm Horribly depressing but true article.  The reason the price jumped is because they knew we would still pay.  And the reason there's an industry at all is because people don't like to wait for trades, but XFactorFab is right: the only way to express our derision is to not buy.  Then publishers will get the idea to not feed us filler issues and wasteful one-shots.  Hit 'em where it counts!
August 7, 2009 12:24 am I guess I didn't put that much thought into it, really, the whole masculine/feminine angle.  I just thought it was a good yarn.  But I so agree and think that's why it works, because it's on different levels.

Seriously?  I never thought you'd pick this.

Do you think your low expectations contributed to your liking this book more than it actually deserves?  Like happned with me and the Wolverine movie?

April 20, 2009 1:13 am Thanks for the well-thought out response, Ron.  You've convinced me to at least ride out the first arc and see where it goes.  Having never actually seen Lost, I don't really get the comparison, but we'll see how the story and charcaters develop and see what Jeff Parker can do with it.

Great article Josh.  I feel your pain.  My friend and I are working on a project as well (Thanksfully, the publisher already signed on), and dealing with the artists has been the hardest aprt.  The one drawing issue #3 finished way ahead of the artist drawing issue #1.  Now we have to wait around for that guy.  I know the final product will be great, but it's the waiting that kills me.  And, as you said, getting retailers to carry it will be the hardest part, especially now that Diamond has chnaged their policies.

Good luck with your projects.  I'll definitely buy them when they hit the shelves.

February 5, 2009 10:30 pm I would love to stop by and party with you guys.  Had a great time at the one in San Diego.  See you this weekend!
September 4, 2008 10:18 pm I'm not sure if folks who aren't Terry Moore fans will enjoy this (and I'm not sure if the idea was to get new people to become Terry Moore fans), but whatever.  I'm a Terry Moore fan and I think it's damn funny.  So buy it.  let teh folks at Marvel know that he is a real commodity.
May 31, 2008 11:09 pm It was a good end to a story that I found myself uninterested in at times.  I wasn't too into this Breakworld stuff, but I liked this issue.  Snif, Kitty, snif
