Neil Gaiman Returns to Marvel Comics… and Brings ANGELA With Him?!
March 21, 2013 11:58 am Agreed. I had the action figure. Quite the set of, er... weapons she had there. She certainly needs to be brought into the present.

Jack Kirby’s 1945 Invoice
March 18, 2013 3:34 pm Great timing on this post as I just finished reading Sean Howe's book last night and discovered the Tumblr page also. I was up past midnight going though the Tumblr. Fascinating stuff and the book was a great read.
Minor critique is that I wish more time was spent between Bill Jemas' ousting and Disney's purchase of Marvel. I know it's recent, but some great stuff happened and I'd love to hear some behind-the-scenes accounts.
Kirby was clearly not given the credit he deserved, but what did you guys think of his progressive claims of sole creator-ship later in his life? Asserting that Stan Lee basically did nothing?

iFanboy Update: Independence, Goodbye, Hello
January 18, 2013 10:15 pm I just saw that the "About Us" page has already been updated. I am SO sad.
I don't post often at all, but I've been listening to the podcast for years. Most of all, I will miss Ron's insane laugh. Once he gets rolling, there's no stopping him. Such a great personality you have Ron.
But still, a heartfelt congratulations on what I can only assume is a dream job for you. Best of luck sir!
And certainly congratulations to Paul. I look forward to hearing on the podcast full-time.
Today is a bittersweet day.

Bendis’ Run on AVENGERS Ends in November. What Other Titles Are Wrapping Up?
August 15, 2012 5:27 pm Agreed. I generally loved BMB's run on Avengers, but think he may have jumped the shark with the stories that followed Siege. Still, gonna be remembered as a solid run. I'm really looking forward to this shake-up across the board.

Marvel’s Next Big Thing! Kelly Sue DeConnick & Stefano Caselli Take On AVENGERS ASSEMBLE
August 14, 2012 9:29 am Oddly, I wasn't interested in the initial Bendis/Bagley run on this book - despite loving their run on Ultimate Spidey. But THIS team I can get behind. I love Stefano Caselli's artwork and Kelly Sue has really grown on me as a writer. I really wanted to be reading the new Captain Marvel book, but just couldn't get past the artwork.
Question: Do we know if this book takes place in Marvel Cinematic continuity, 616 continuity, or some separate don't-worry-and-just-enjoy-the-story continuity??

Marvel NOW!: Thor: God of Thunder #2 Cover Revealed
August 13, 2012 11:50 am I love the Artwork on the covers - not loving the cover treatments. The logos are fine (some are good), but their placement is odd (this one is left of center, why?). And I REALLY don't like the red bar at the bottom of all the covers. Not organically laid out, no hierarchal flow. Just a bunch of disparate, separately designed logos and a UPC code. Bad graphic design.
That being said - VERY excited about the new creative teams and story directions.

August 12, 2012 7:00 pm Oh no. I hate to see this. I'm saddened at his passing and sorry for his family who will, no doubt, miss him terribly.

Marvel NOW! Si Spurrier and Tan Eng Huat on X-MEN: LEGACY
August 10, 2012 11:33 am So far, this is the only Marvel NOW! book I'm not interested in. Just don't care.
That is a great cover collage though.

San Diego Comic-Con 2012 News Recap
July 16, 2012 10:28 am Keeping it close to the vest, as it were - which is okay, but it really drives home that San Diego is less of a Comic Book convention now.
