Pick of the Week #602 – Star Wars #36
September 17, 2017 5:27 pm So, I cannot tell you how excited I was for this week's episode. Giddy is a word that comes to mind. Yes, today would be the day my super power would arrive. I immediately jumped to 46:53 for a listen, fearful that I might have a cursed power. But, Josh bequeathed a beauty. I have already warned my friends that they should hope I see them in a brighter shade of green. They have no idea what I'm talking about. Thanks so much for making this fun. Here' to another 602 episodes.

Jeff Lemire Takes the Justice League Up North with JUSTICE LEAGUE CANADA
August 24, 2013 9:28 pm I went to see the DC panel at Fan Expo today. They were pretty tight lipped, but the did say that Adam Strange would be introduced to the New 52 as a resident of Toronto.
Also, the panel hinted that the reason the JL would be headed north had to do with the fallout of Trinity War and the upcoming Forever Evil. Some suggested possibilities were either the U.S. will be so devastated by the outcome of these events that a move to Canada will be warranted, or the relationship the JL has with the U.S. as a result of the events necessitates the change. But,nlike I said, they didn't want to give much away. By the way, if you have never been to Fan Expo, I highly recommend it. Great people, and great time. This is my third trip across the border for Fan Expo and it just keeps getting bigger and better.

Weekly Sketch Up – 04.05.2013
April 5, 2013 10:20 am That Moon Knight rocks! This sweet sketch looks like it was pulled right out of the back pages of the old Hulk Magazine.

SNAPSHOT #3
April 5, 2013 10:07 am Great review! I totally agree with you about the stellar quality of this book. There have been ample twists and turns to keep me interested. I don't know the overall rating hasn't been higher.

NOVA #1
February 24, 2013 6:28 pm I am going to keep an open mind on this one. VERY cliche is an appropriate description. The plot felt very "The Last Starfighter"-ish. That might have been good in 1984, maybe not great in 2013. But, like I said, I am still willing to give this a shot. I miss Nova...any Nova. That being said, based on what was shared so far, the story left room for Richard Rider to still be out there...which is good news.

COMIC BOOK JOB EVALUATIONS: Uatu the Watcher
August 7, 2012 5:17 pm Great jog evaluating the Watcher. I could hear Jimmy Stewart's voice as I read each section. Your choice of dialog was bang on. The only knock I have is from Final Thoughts...Rear Window came out in 1954 and the Twilight Zone started in 1959. But, you still made me laugh. Thank.

Remake & Reboot: The MICRONAUTS Series
August 1, 2012 2:11 pm I would love a new Micronauts series. So, what creative team would you suggest for a new Shogun Warriors title?

Comic Book Moonlighting
July 20, 2012 1:42 pm Great article!
What about a twist and suggest writers from the past taking on comics...
Washington Irving writing Doctor Strange. How about Edgar Alan Poe on Batman/Detective?. Ernest Hemingway on the Incredible Hulk...man of short, powerful phrases on a man with short, powerful phrases. Thoughts?

Weekly Sketch Up – 06.29.2012
June 30, 2012 9:16 am All of these sketches are fantastic! But, I really dig on that Michael Cho Spider-Man. Not only is he a brilliant artist, he is one of the nicest guys on the planet. If you make it to Fan Expo Canada, be sure to drop by his table, have a chat and buy a print...or four.
