This may be more of a plea to read The Last Phanton than an actual review, but I’m hoping the…

May 8, 2012 1:54 pm Malory Archer (actress Jessica Walters ) was in the Doctor Strange movie/TV pilot? I'm sure that's not on her resume. Maybe she could petition IMDB to pull it off of her filmography. Certainly an amusing list. The Justice League of America TV pilot could be heaped in with these, although I think the focus is on movies.
April 20, 2012 9:01 pm Okay, I am officially lost. I do like the Byrne art and the 70's vibe going on, but I have absolutely no idea where this story is going, or quite frankly where it came from. Am I wrong or were there a few grammatical errors in this issue, not to mention a speech bubble in the wrong place? Or, maybe it's just me not getting it. I think it might be time to drop this and pick up some Byrne stories drawn in the 70's.
March 9, 2012 3:55 pm Conor, loved the intro. I miss Mr. Rothstein and the rest of the Boardwalk Empire cast. I really thought Rothstein would be a one-and-done character on the show but they've done a fantastic job of weaving him in and out of the narrative. And, his role ih the Black Sox scandal, taking advantage or players, fans, Comiskey and all of major league baseball, make him a villian in league with any Dr. Doom or Lex Luthor. But, maybe Rothstein is just a misunderstood opportunist.
December 9, 2011 2:47 pm Agreed. I know baseball is a business, but it would be nice if loyalty to one's team and the undying love of the community actually meant something.
December 9, 2011 8:07 am These posters are beautiful. After picking two of these posters up in Denmark, "Objectif Lune" and "Tintin au Tibet", I trekked across Europe with them strapped to my backpack. In the Netherlands, I also scored a dozen Tintin books in French, Dutch, German and Russian. At the end of my trip, my back was nearly broken. But, it was all worth it. The posters framed nicely, and now reside in my study...classy-nerdy.
August 25, 2011 8:39 am For me, this series has been all over the place. There were times I felt so lost that I almost gave up. This final issue, however, seemed to bring it all together. Byrne's art and dialogue seemed bang on. Maybe that's just wishful thinking. Time for a reread from issue #1.
August 12, 2011 9:57 am Another strong BP:MWF.  The Hate Monger, particularly how Liss has developed him, is a great villian.  I particularly liked the Hate Monger's remark about not even having to use his powers on Chambliss...that's the scary thing about hate and how it's manipulated to political ends.  And, what can I say about the art that hasn't already been said...stellar.
June 28, 2011 12:09 pm @keith7198. You are right on about the Falcon. If it weren't for the resurgence of Winter Soldier/Bucky/Cap over the past few years, I think that the Falcon would be sitting at #1.
June 23, 2011 1:10 pm Great list!  There are so many choices with Spider-Man.  I would suggest picking up all of the volumes of Marvel Masterworks Amazing Spider-Man.  I'm on vol.8 right now, and loving every story.  You gain a new perspective on every character (supporting, villian, guest) as they make their way into Spidey's mythology.   I also never realized just how intensely Gwen and Mary Jane competed for young Mr. Parker's affections.

And, you really need to have a collection highlighting Ross Andru's art.  What a great follow up to Ditko and Romita, Sr.
June 20, 2011 4:00 pm No cover image (and these have been brilliant) nor description makes me sad.  Someone out there doesn't have much love for the Phantom.
