Damian’s confrontation with Talia was a little meh, but I like where this is going.

Wow … I don’t usually get weepy at the end of a comic book … but DAMN!

October 18, 2011 12:06 pm Call me a geek, but as a student of nonviolent uprisings throughout history, I've come to find Cold War Poland exceptionally interesting ... this looks interesting ...
October 14, 2011 7:14 pm It was very much IN character. This is the side of Damian we've alwaysknown was there and have never seen. LOVED this issue ... especially the wordless spread in the middle of the book ...
October 13, 2011 1:55 pm The story in this book has been engaging enough to keep me hooked in, but DAMN the payoff is in the cover on this issue!
October 13, 2011 1:53 pm Absolute power corrupts absolutely ... all the other Reeds set themselves up to be the ultimate problem-solvers, correct? It follows logically (IMO) that they would end up as shades of evil ... the ends justify the means and all that jazz, yada yada yada ... the 616 Reed hasn't yet been corrupted and chose to say "no" to the Council of Reeds if I recall correctly. I just hope Hickman gets to the point soon, because this book is starting to feel like it did before I dropped it ... before I picked it up again ... before I ... etc. etc.
October 13, 2011 1:47 pm Bruce needs to lighten up ... Damian has earned his stripes ... that is why I'm on the fence about this book. Not sure I'm interested in reading six issues of trite Bruce-lectures-Damian-and-Damian-rebels B.S. to get to the good stuff ... It is still on my pull list ... for now ...
October 9, 2011 1:39 am holy FRACK ... wow ... did NOT see that coming ...
September 28, 2011 10:59 pm I wonder, are (some) people so negative about this comic simply because they can't stand a good idea even when it slaps them upside the head? Both the artwork and story are 5-star material.
September 28, 2011 10:58 pm Color me stupid, but I thought the story was 5-star all the way. Bendis is pulling all the emotion out of this child's situation and I am completely taken. Miles' tension with his Dad over his uncle's past and his own (now undisclosed) powers is palpable. And the expressiveness of the artwork in some of these panels was incredibly effective in representing the character's pathos. I'm loving this book ... even if I'm not loving the price and shipping schedule so much.
September 28, 2011 10:48 pm No offense to Whilce Portacio, but I had become quite enamored with the chemistry between Gillen's story and Braithwaite's art. This book was less compelling for me than some of the previous entries have been.
September 26, 2011 10:45 pm Funny ... love the story as always, but really not diggin' the art.
