June 26, 2009 4:54 pm If you want to try something from Warren Ellis in the gritty crime fashion, I'd recommend a book I haven't heard talked of all that much, "Scars". It's an OGN so you get the whole thing in one volume, which is nice sometimes. Also, going a little different it's not a comic book, but Ellis wrote a pretty good prose book with "Crooked Little Vein" that I'd recommend if you feel like venturing outside the comics medium to follow the creator. It's also a crime story in a sense that focuses around a private detective or sorts.
Great show guys! I've been looking for the I Kill Giants trade since it came out and can't find it at shops in my area. Also, the Canadian Amazon has it listed as a pre-order yet...maybe it isn't out up here yet but I'm really looking forward to reading this one!
Also, can't wait for IDW to collect all the current G.I. Joe stuff they're doing in trades. It all looks really great.
...and Ron didn't look THAT bad. Keep up the great work, iFanboys!
June 25, 2009 12:29 pm Thor would be my pick of the week for covers, followed by Viking. Other than that I wasn't really "Wowed" by any other covers this week.
June 24, 2009 4:46 pm Looks like I should've ordered from TwoMorrow directly instead of from Amazon. Bummer. I thought that looked a little cheap for a book that would look as gorgeous as the preview page did above. Oh well.
June 24, 2009 4:28 pm I actually enjoyed the first Transformers film quite a bit, and am looking forward to this one. Even if this one is just more of the same robot action, Megan Fox looking hot as hell, poorly scripted Michael Bay explosion-fest (and it looks like it's going to be) I'm certainly ok with that.
June 23, 2009 1:37 pm Giving it a shot, mainly because I'm weird in that I don't want to break my gapless run on this book :P If anything will make me drop it though, it's Daniel Way and Daken!
