Warren Ellis seems to really strike lightning with his Avatar #0’s.  Like “Black Summer” before it, “No Hero” opens with…

I loved this comic!  (Pick of the week?  Nod nod… Nudge nudge…)? While I have agreed with the hot/cold reviews of…

April 16, 2013 6:11 pm I think it was published in 2011.
October 18, 2012 6:17 pm The time of year I love more than any and the time of year that Udo (my dog) dreads more then any. I have been toying with an idea that I am going to start on this weekend for Udo's costume. It will not e as good as M.O.D.O.G. but it will make me laugh. Hopefully, I will get him to sit still for 2 seconds to take a picture.
August 3, 2012 12:30 pm Hooray for Andy Tom! A finer person you will never meet. it is great to see his work on this fine list.
March 16, 2012 5:53 pm Check out the 11 O'clock Comics forum thread http://bullpenbulletinspodcast.com/forum/index.php?topic=10381.0 for one of the best resources online about sites to buy OA. Bean
January 25, 2012 3:11 pm I know you are probably kidding, but every beer nerd that I have ever met is not only passionate about their love of beer but also love to share their knowledge to others without (See Chris Neesman). I'm sure there may be a few jerks out there. I just have been lucky enough to never run into one. Bean
January 17, 2012 10:50 am According to Box Office Mojo, The Incredibles have the 4th Highest Pixar Box office (behind Toy Story 3, Finding Nemo and Up) and the 2nd biggest Opening (behind TS3). I agree with @wallythegreenmonster. I think it comes down to toys and other merch.
November 23, 2011 6:36 pm Good for you Josh. Why can't people accept that these are Ron, Josh and Connor's favorite read of the week. Not Josh, Ron and Connor's prediction of what everyone else liked that week. Also, I don't see anywhere up in the article where Josh said anything disparaging about any of the other comics that came out this week. Maybe he liked your pick just as much as you but liked Comic Book Comics a bit more. Oh well, you don't need me to defend your pick. The article above does it better than I could, Bean
November 23, 2011 5:56 pm How is it not a REAL comic?
November 23, 2011 5:06 pm A great book indeed that should be read by anyone who loves comics, history and /or comic book history. I spoke with Fred and Ryan at C2E2 this year and they were thinking of following this series up with a book focusing on the U.S. Presidents. I asked Fred what it was going to be called and he responded with, "I think we are going to go with 'Action Presidents'." I hope they are able to make that book happen because I am sure it will be as enjoyable and informative as Action Philosophers and Comic Book Comics.
November 10, 2011 3:40 pm You said its the same model. While I understand that they are different mediums, I was attempting to show that they are not using the same model when it comes to the pricing of the digital only package. I think with some tweaking, they could even come up with a rental model. I do not read 90% of my comics more than once. If I could get a digital rental copy that goes away 24 hours after I open (it at 16% to 40% of the cost of the physical ) I would be all over it. I can tell you this. With 3 exceptions I have gone to the one month later price for the New DC 52 titles that I buy. I still buy OMAC, Swamp Thing and Batman day and date digital, but I am waiting the extra month to save the $1.00 for the other 10 or so titles I have been reading. The good news is we seem to be getting more and more options of where and how to read digital comics legally every day. Bean
