Ohhhhh, now I feel so old.

This is the movie that started me reading comics on a regular basis. And I would kill for those Converse sneakers! Hah!

And @DavidB hah, I think *everyone* had that outfit back then (girls included). I don't think I had a t-shirt that didn't have Batman on it.

Ten minutes (or fewer?) of Optimus Prime badassery do not make up for the two hours and twenty minutes of garbage.

Also, I'd care more if I could tell the robots apart. Terminator Salvation was better than this steaming dogpile. At least I could tell who was who in that one.

The io9 review hit the nail on the head.

June 24, 2009 3:03 pm This art style is just not my cuppa tea, but I love Reed's storytelling. Curious to see where this is going.
June 3, 2009 10:01 pm Yeah, but I LIKED the jokeyness. This issue was nearly traumatizing. Which is not to say it was bad, but, yeah. I need the lulz right now.
June 3, 2009 9:55 pm This is my new favorite book. Thank you, Dan Slot. Nothing has made me laugh this hard in weeks, and I really needed it.

To the complainers, I say this: Pearls. To. Swine.

For Steve McNiven's art, I'd happily wait a year (more?) between issues.

That said, this was pure fanboy porn. I loved every panel of it.

@edward, I too noticed that that was Bucky!Cap's costume, and with the brown eyes, I can only assume it was meant to be Bucky (or some latter-day Cap). Had two fleshy arms, though. Unless one of these things was a colorist's mistake (or unless Bucky got his non-metal arm back somehow), I think this is someone else as Cap.

There are plenty of things in comics to complain about. This run is not one of them. There are more than enough other Wolverine titles out there for readers upset with the wait.

@Jimski wtf is that thing on Gambit's head? It was on every super hero in the early 90s (even Jean Grey, see also http://www.freewebs.com/xxspicedxx/Jean-Grey-Card.jpg ), yet everyone *except* Gambit seems to have dropped it.

Also, I will never lose sight of how ridiculous Gambit is. Never never never.

May 22, 2009 12:38 pm Not a bad issue - just an in-between one. Into every comic the issue-long fight must fall, I guess.
