January 17, 2012 3:04 pm YESSSSS! Great choice Ron. I gotta get my hands on this. This is one of my all time favorite X-Books ever! Now if I could just convince Marvel to bring the Anarchist back from the dead...
January 16, 2012 2:43 pm Not "creator" I mean "character" I need coffee
January 16, 2012 2:42 pm Who really isn't a "DC" creator. Der. I don't know how to read.
January 16, 2012 2:41 pm You forgot Herr Starr and his precious genitalia.
January 16, 2012 2:29 pm I am $50 to $70 a week (occasionally it is more). My gf is very supportive and understanding, but I'm reaching a point where I really need to grade my comics a lot harder. Marvel and DC piles will get the biggest trim. It's starting to get easier to drop the DC books. I tried out a lot of the new 52 books and met with some pleasant surprises, but many books that are changing from creative teams I like to creative teams that are indicative of an era in comics that, in hindsight, are not as good as my child-mind thought they were at the time. DC is doing some things right, but I can't go down the Liefeld road. I respect that guy greatly as a businessman but his style just isn't for me. My selections for third party/creator owned titles have also gradually increased. I don't plan on dropping these. For 2012 I want to go down to the bare bones of my DC/Marvel books and gradually increase in creator owned material.
January 12, 2012 9:51 pm I was fairly cautious that reading a Dan Didio comic was going to be like borrowing a Donovan record from your high school principal, but OMAC was one of my favorites of the re-launch. Sucks it's cancelled, but I plan on enjoying it to its bitter end. Also...Howard Mackie? Haven't read that name in a while. It invokes images of Wolverine/Cable/Ghost Rider/Punisher crossovers. Dial H is such a bizarre concept, even for a super hero book, that I will definitely give it a shot.
January 11, 2012 11:03 pm I was confused at some of the cover match-ups, but then I remembered that these are Marvel Comics and that the cover can often not mean anything.
January 4, 2012 8:36 pm I think this comic is a lot of fun and I love the way Fraction depicts the Silver Surfer. He's supposed to be a demigod with the heart of a poet. It's surprising when I see other creators make him so cold and thus, boring.
