CAPTAIN MARVEL #2
August 16, 2012 2:56 pm The art definitely improved from Issue 1 to Issue 2. I think soy began to feel more comfortable with the character. I was a little weary about doing a time travel story so early on but she sold me by the last panel. I've enjoyed both issues so far, and gave this one five stars. I preordered quite frankly because Kelly Sue asked me to in various podcasts, and because it was $2.99. I read Kelly Sue's Osborn and thought it was fantastic but hated her arc on Supergirl (moreso that it was a final arc that had no finality to it, and a botched Lois/Kara relationship that didn't fit the rest of the run). This however shows me that if you give Kelly Sue time and let her do her own thing she can make awesome work. I think this is how she should write all her stories from now on. Start and issue 1 and make it her own, and avoid doing one off arcs in other books.

BATMAN #12
August 13, 2012 10:29 am Oh look I brought out the Snyder fanboy brigade. Your right there were only two artists. The art changed dramatically in terms of tone throughout the book and broke it up in a way that was not enjoyable to me. I read the comic, I get it's blatantly obvious Batman is pro-gay message in it, and I understand that this character is probably going to join the Batfamily in some capacity. I think it could have very easily been told in the last 6 pages of several comics. It comes at the end of the first major batman event and advertised itself as a continuation/final chapter of that event. It has nothing to do with Court of the Owls, it could have been released at any time during either the old universe or the New 52. I brought the ratings and PotW percentages because they show that people on this website that pulled this comic found it to be worth fewer stars than the earlier Batman stories. Cannot wait for Joker, and when that happens we wont even remember this silly little story ever happened.

Comic Book Casting: Marvel’s CLOAK & DAGGER Television Series
August 13, 2012 10:10 am Now I need to go read the Runaways Cloak and Dagger crossover. I would be more interested in this show than I am in a Green Arrow show (though I'm looking forward to that too). It'd be great to see more B-list characters get some air-time and some attention. Just think you could have Widow, Hawkeye, or Fury cameo in this show and give orders from SHIELD and stuff like that.

Marvel NOW! Posehn, Duggan and Moore Warm Up the Crowd for DEADPOOL #1 in November
August 13, 2012 9:22 am Well if its when people stop buying then the numbers show that Way's run has gone on too long. He couldn't even maintain the surge numbers with the Dead arc.

Marvel NOW! Posehn, Duggan and Moore Warm Up the Crowd for DEADPOOL #1 in November
August 10, 2012 12:02 pm There are some story arcs that I found really entertaining. Deadpool v. Hulk was a lot of fun. Way started running out of ideas and though and it's just gone on longer than it needs to.
