September 3, 2008 1:34 pm Namor's one of my favorite characters, but he hasn't shown up in a lot recently other than Avengers/Invaders. I got on board too late to catch any of his previous previous mini's, so I'll pick this up in hopes of an interesting Namor book.
September 3, 2008 1:31 pm I love how this is the cover to Thunderbolts.

Right now, I am satisfied. After years and years of waiting, we finally have something tangible.

I don't really listen to that much Billy Corgan, so my only opinion on it was that it seemed to fit the mood of the piece. It was like a game for me too, seeing if I could match up each shot in the trailer to the spot in the book. And they were spot on. I really can't wait.

July 15, 2008 10:52 am This is really just a one-shot of sorts. One and done. Its still part of the canon, but the next issue dealing with the Thunderbolts should be pretty good.
July 15, 2008 10:50 am I don't know why more people are giving this a try. Maybe they were disappointed by the switch from the Hulk, but I think it's just so much better. It's so quirky that it's really a delight just to see what's on the next page. The God Squad, Skrull Robo-Puppies, Shape-shifting Gods of Death, Gods getting freaky, and Amadeus Cho, one of the coolest characters in comics. Why SHOULDN'T you pick up this book?

When I saw the cover of last issue, I thought it would be a tie-in with Avengers/Invaders. But no, we've got fake Steve and Bucky together here. This should be a good fight. The last time there was an epic fight like this on the cover, the inside was just as awesome.

So wait, in the Marvel Universe, there are currently 3 Captain Americas running around: Fake Steve, Bucky Barnes, and Steve Rogers displaced in time. It would be sick to see all three together.

A good way to tell Purely Evil from Misunderstood is by their code of honor, if they have one. Captain Cold beat down Mirror Master because of his drug use, and even showed a little remorse over killing the Flash.

A real mystery is Lex Luthor. Yes, he has committed heinous acts for his own gain, but then again he has helped (in his mind) defend the earth from the evil force that he believes Superman is. He sees himself as more of a protector of humanity than a destroyer.

And as far as AIM and Hydra go, yes they may be evil organizations, but mostly individual agents of both are not. Many are just programmed according to the organization's customs, but deep inside are just regular people. Take for example, Bob, Agent of Hydra, from Cable and Deadpool. I know that it depends on whose writing it, but many of these large organizations contain simple-minded, yet innocent, cannon fodder.

Finally, I think it's safe to say that most of the Spidey villains, ruling out any Goblins or symbiotes, are not evil. The Rhino is too dumb to be evil, and has shown real human emotions recently, as has the Vulture. Most are just petty theives with superpowers.

Stan "The Man" Lee,

Comics had a big effect on the childhood of many people during their creation and growth period. Do you think that in order for comics to have the same effect on a new generation, there needs to be a comics "Renaissance"? What needs to change in order to enthrall and inspire the next generation of comic book readers?

May 13, 2008 1:37 pm Supposedly its been said that Screwball is just as annoying as Spider-Man when in combat, so expect to be driven crazy by the banter.
May 6, 2008 1:58 pm These Suydam covers have been so awesome. Looking forward to seeing some more mainstream involvement in Moon Knight. It's been awhile.
