January 17, 2013 4:00 pm Are you sure the actual score you gave is accurate? From reading the actual review, you seem to like the issue quite a bit more than what is reflected in the 1/5. ;) I absolutely loved this issue. My review is here.
December 21, 2012 9:27 am You don't have to worry about Superior Spidey hanging around for very long. From what I've heard, Daredevil #22 will be mostly a stand-alone issue before Daredevil joins Marvel NOW! with February's Daredevil #23. That, in turn, will mark the start of a new arc which is likely to be free of any and all arachnids.
June 25, 2012 9:34 am Regarding Samnee (lots of people seem to be wondering): Yes, he will be the book's sole artist (not counting Allred's Daredevil #17), and there will be no more taking turns. Samnee is an unusually fast artist and I think having once artists doing virtually every issue will be a great change of pace (even as much as I've loved Martín and, in particular, Rivera). I talked to Samnee about this and he is clearly very excited to be doing Daredevil and seems to want to stay on board as long as they will have him.
May 16, 2012 4:43 pm This was a good issue. Pham's art was better than his work in 10.1 and there was tons of plot progression for everyone who's been waiting for the Omega drive business to get to the next chapter. Also, lots of surprising twists that made me go back to the end of the previous issue, before rereading this one, and it all makes total sense in retrospect. Fun times.
May 16, 2012 4:39 pm Nope. He's just the fill-in artist. Samnee will be back next issue for three issues. Then there's the newly announced guest spot by Mike Allred and after that RIvera is back for an arc again.
April 5, 2012 1:11 pm You should be perfectly fine with that. Since the Omega Effect story spins out of things happening in Daredevil you don't need to read any issues other than the ones covered by the cross-over (i.e. Avenging Spider-Man #6, Punisher #10 and DD #11) Of course, if you just want to jump on to Daredevil and don't care about the cross-over then just stick with what you're getting.
April 4, 2012 5:03 pm This was an okay issue, but nowhere near the quality we've seen in previous issues which is unfortunate for a supposed jumping on point. I posted my own review here: http://www.theothermurdockpapers.com/2012/04/review-of-daredevil-10-1/ /Christine
April 2, 2012 6:01 pm Yeah, that's how I feel. ;) Khoi Pham is no Paolo Rivera or Chris Samnee, but I love this run and the next five weeks are going to be great for DD fans, I just know it.
March 31, 2012 11:15 am I think we *are* heading down a more depressing road. For a little while, at least. But I don't think it'll be anything like what we've seen before, and I think it will be beneficial rather than detrimental to the longterm growth of Matt Murdock. I personally suspect that what Mark Waid will be trying to do is "heal" the character by having him face some of his demons, not break him down (again) just for the fun of it. In interviews, Waid has hinted at the new carefree Matt being a bit of a façade, the result of a coping mechanism that may not be all that healthy in the long run. Matt has stuff he needs to deal with and I like that he'll finally get that chance. I don't doubt for a second that Mark Waid will handle this well and in a way that will make Matt much happier (and genuinely so) in the long run.
