March 28, 2020 12:15 pm I'd guess it had something to do with th little bird (Erithacus rubecula).
April 16, 2019 1:14 pm Thanks for doing this show. I went to see it the day it came out - and left well before the end. But being the "Hellboy-adherent" (Do people say that in the English-speaking world?) I am, I am going to listen to this programme with great interest.
November 15, 2017 6:03 am "I wasn’t implying that Ron didn’t have a job before, just that lots of podcasters do and podcast as well." I am not pretending to be particularly wise here if I say that it all depends on the nature of a job. Not knowing about that job's specifics (the context) it's difficult to judge about a person's commitment for this podcast, right? No big deal, though.
November 14, 2017 5:13 am "While the Jamokes who also have jobs remain to hold down the fort." Ron had a job before, too, if I'm not mistaken. Now that we know who he is going to work for (congrats!), we can safely assume him quitting has something to do with a conflict of interests. How should he be talking about Marvel comics in the future?
November 9, 2017 7:31 pm Thanks for this fine interview. Since his run on Green Arrow with Kevin Smith (Since then I have never anticipated something again as much as that return of Ollie Queen from the dead. And now I still hope for his return in his "true" pre-New52 nature ...) Phil Hester is an artist I have a special interest for. Even though I haven't read much of him afterwards as I have to admit. At the time I needed some time to get used to his more "cartoonish" style. Now it is something I look again at with great pleasure. I need to check Shipwreck out. And Coffin. Great questions, Josh. Talksplode greatly fits in with the superior quality of the "IFanboy experience". Sure, I would have liked to hear PH talk about working with Smith, with Tony Harris or Warren Ellis. But, of course, that is probably stuff that is not easily being addressed in the public. I hope you guys will be able to keep up these podcasts even after Ron has left again. They belong to the pieces of media I am consuming with the greatest pleasure.
April 18, 2017 9:59 am I myself am looking forward to an additional show about a non-comics-topic. The quality of the ifanboy-hosts will make such a show a worthwhile endeavor. It would be interesting to learn what reward would have to be reached in order to be able to cut those commercials short. I know they are probably necessary at this moment - and probably bring in more money than the type of sponsoring that was used some years ago. But to be perfectly honest they are the one aspect of this great podcast I could perfectly live without.
December 23, 2016 10:45 am I am also more than thankful for the continued existence of this great podcast. It is a true pleasue to listen to you guys talking about the subject. Concerning Mr. Kilpatrick's way of speaking. As a foreign speaker (German) I am qualified to utter my opinion here. He talks fast. Sometimes I have even checked my smartphone to see whether I had mistakenly tuned in double speed or something like that. That is true. But I nevertheless always understand what he is saying. So, I don't see a problem there. And I guess it is not really possible to slow down one's speed of talking over the course of one whole ifanboy show.
May 13, 2015 2:30 pm Well, here's an example for DC denying its "rebootiness": "This is not a reboot, it's a launch." (http://www.newsarama.com/7920-dc-releases-new-the-new-52-info-answers-to-retailers.html)
May 12, 2015 2:57 pm DC also said, the New 52 wouldn't be a reboot, but stll they've erased all I liked about the old DCU (Ollie Queen, Jack Knight, Hellblazer). (It still hurts, I must say. I can't seem to make my peace with it ...) By the way, great podcast!!! It seems like the two remaining IFanboys haven't lost any Esprit, which is great.
