September 9, 2011 9:05 pm @Alexferrer - I guess we'd have to figure out how much the adamantium weighs, and how much of it he has bonded to his skeleton. You're right though if it is heavy metal he could weigh a lot more than he's listed in the handbook. Wait, I almost passed out from too much nerd.......Ok. I'm fine now. :)
September 9, 2011 11:22 am Amen, I love that his Wolverine actually looks short and wide. He's 5'3 and 195lbs for crying out loud.
August 19, 2011 11:00 am I pretty much agree with all of these choices, very cool article. I do have to point out that Cannonball's from Kentucky, which isn't the deep south. I'm from NC and even we're not considered to be in that club. You gotta go way down there to claim that distinction. I wouldn't really call him a redneck either. I do really dig Cannonball, and he's one of my favorite X-men (and kind of incredibly powerful if one thinks about it), though if you go back and look at some of those earliest issues he's drawn/written pretty much as a racist/classist cartoon of a southern person. Sorry about that little detour, and thank you for the fun article.
June 27, 2011 2:52 pm I dig all these choices, but it just doesn't feel like the Justice League without Martian Manhunter.  Deadman's on two teams, why not Mr. J'onzz?
June 8, 2011 10:29 am Legion Lost has all but one of my favorite Legion characters(Mon-El), so I'm sold.  Also Portella rocks so I'm down for both Legion books. Maybe Static.

I think DC Digital should offer cheaper package deals on groups of these new #1s.   I know right now it's not the price point but 10 new #1's for 10 bucks would be awesome.
June 2, 2011 1:06 pm I too am very disappointed that James Robinson isn't writing Hawkman, as he's in my top 5 DC characters.  When James R and Johns wrote Hawkman with art by Rags it was one of my favorite books (also it sold quite well).

That being said I'm looking forward to Aquaman.  I'm curious about Mr. Terrific b/c I really like that character, but I'm not digging the new costume, and it'll be interesting to see if Cliff Chiang's awesome art can get me to break down and buy a Wonder Woman book.  Sadly the rest of the titles don't pique my interest.
March 31, 2011 9:35 am Aquaman's lesser known power: making a vulture's neck dispense thousand island dressing.
March 9, 2011 12:48 pm Starman is my favorite comic of all time, and has been since I started reading it in the 90's.  It's just perfect.  I even love the Space Cabby issue that a lot of people seem to hate fo some reason.  I've been putting together a Jack Knight sketchbook for about ten years now, and those commissions are my most prized possessions.  Thanks guys for making the show and spreading the love.
March 2, 2011 2:24 pm Inifinity Gauntlet, Infinity Gauntlet, and also Infinity Gauntlet. It still holds up, and to me was much more exciting than Crisis (not that Crisis was bad at all).
February 22, 2011 3:58 pm The first podcast I ever listened to was John Siuntres'  interview with Dwayne McDuffie back in '07, which in turn led me to seek out other comics podcasts, and that brought me to iFanboy.  He was a fantastic writer and seemed like a really great person.  His work on the Justice League cartoons was amazing and I wish he was still with us.
