Ideally, Preacher should be on HBO or Showtime.  There is NO way to adapt 60+ issues into a 2 hour movie. It took 3 hours to put Frank Miller's 300 (6 issue mini?) on the silver screen. Actually ANY cable channel could step up (and get put on the map) by having Preacher presented uncensored.  Look at the channel FX success with Nip/Tuck, The Shield and Damages.

Who would miss the Preacher Specials? Preacher: Saint of Killers, Preacher: Arseface

Of course it is about money, so get the correct team together to produce the show, have the network properly market the product and this will be a cash cow. Lest I forget, let the fanboys and fangirls get a view at the Comicons to get the word out as only we can.  The DVDs will sell and the final act will be a blockbuster movie.

The Joker was the movie. Heath Ledger re-created the Joker.

The problems I have seen with Secret Invasion: the reader having to be familiar with the history of the Skrulls, if you are NOT reading ANY of the SI: Tie-ins you will be "Lost" (just like the TV show),  Nick Fury was a key figure in WWII and was not frozen in ice (How old is this guy?).The Secret Invasion mini series has not ventured beyond the Savage Land or NYC. (The Skrulls did invade ALL of Earth?)

To Bendis' credit, he has brought value to re-reading older issues in my collection.

Final Crisis should have been the only EVENT at DC.  Batman: R.I.P. is too much eventism.  DC keeps trying to tie everything together, this is not the Ultimate Marvel Universe.  This is the DC 80 year history of comics.  There is no way to tie it ALL together.  If Barry Allen has been out of existence for 20 years, he qualifies as DEAD.  Why bring him back? Is he going to save Dan Didio's job?

Dr. Doom IMO, is an arrogant aristocrat.  Doom has taken it to another level. He not only hates Reed Richards (Doom knows he is smarter), but anyone else who has more power or knowledge than himself (see: Silver Surfer).

The Joker is not even "Super" or a "Villain". The Joker is a NUT, but so is Batman. They are the perfect antithesis of going crazy. I don't believe "insanity" equates to "pure evil", since Batman is also "insane" just with a different focus.
