April 5, 2012 3:33 am Bachalo's art is the sole reason I consider dropping this title. Ruins everything for me.
April 5, 2012 3:31 am The story is fantastic. I love the characterization and the dialogue. but Bachalo on art makes me want to drop the book. He is so god awful it hurts me to read it. Half the time I have no idea what is even being depicted, especially in a fight scene. He also has, hands down, the worst Ice Man ever. Bring back Bradshaw! I don't want to drop this hook but I feel as if I have no choice. I derive no enjoyment from the art. In fact, it significantly lowered my enjoyment.
April 5, 2012 3:27 am God I hope that is sarcasm. Bachalos' art is eye rape.
March 30, 2012 8:47 am I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not...
March 5, 2012 4:55 pm Problem is, Cartoon Network is much more widely accessible than Disney XD. If they had put it on the regular Disney channel, I am sure their viewer numbers would be much higher.
February 23, 2012 4:24 pm I personally love the new Meta progression of Captain Cold. Differentiates him from Mr. Freeze a bit more, and they seem to have kept his Rogue with Honor personality. That panel was phenomenal. Francis is a champ.
February 10, 2012 10:59 am But in regards to the DC New 52, there is only ONE teen team book - Teen Titans. I don't really think it is that much of a stretch to want a second one.
February 3, 2012 12:10 pm I've been trying to argue for the Before Watchmen comics since the announcement - stating the amazing creative teams, the fact that a series of prequels won't change or mess with the incredible ending of Watchmen itself, and that from a business perspective it just makes sense. But I've never been able to articulate it well enough to really get my point across. Kudos to you sir, for putting it so eloquently.
February 1, 2012 12:44 pm I got my girlfriend to try out comics awhile back, and she took to them well. She was already nerdy in some regards, and Batman is her favorite hero. I gave her my first comics I read during my evacuation from Katrina (still relatively new to them) Identity Crisis and Green Lantern: Rebirth. She loved them both, and wanted to know what happened after them. So she has methodically read through the entire Crisis series of stuff - Identity -> Infinite Lead Ins (OMAC, Villains United, etc) -> Infinite Crisis -> Final Crisis, etc and she is eating up everything Geoff Johns' Green Lantern. But the book that truly got her hooked on comics? Fables. Fables is the definitive gateway drug of comics. It features characters everyone knows, even if you hate superheroes. I've caught her on more than one occasion pimping out Fables to her own friends, telling them they need to try it out. New 52 related, she loves Justice League, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Batwoman, and of course, Green Lantern and Batman. Marvel wise, she likes the new Daredevil and Wolverine and the X-Men.
January 15, 2012 10:09 am I can already see Liefield destroy the awesome plot points in Deathstroke already at work. That cover art already means he is changing his new DCU costume into a pouch filled monstrosity.
