April 22, 2010 10:44 am DC has yet to let me down with any of their animated series since Batman: The Animated Series.  I even like Batman: The Brave and the Bold when there are characters that interest me.  I'm excited for this, and I'm not even that big of a fan of what little Young Justice I've read.  (Mostly early stuff.  I didn't really like the art or the comedy.  I don't know how the series may have changed later, but judging by the Young Justice/Outsiders crossover, it got a bit more serious.)
April 5, 2010 10:42 am Hey, I like this news round-up idea.  It's easier than searching the archives for everything I missed.

"Aquaman...go talk to a fish!"

Good cover.  Don't care about Aquaman, though.

Let me put my name in the hat as a fan of SUPERMAN RETURNS.  It wasn't everything I could have hoped for in a Superman movie, but it was mostly a well-made film, featured Superman's bulletproof eye, and starred a man who used to babysit my cousin (I'm 100% serious; no, I never met him).

The thing I think the Superman films have lacked (maybe someone brought this up already) is a real fight.  Even when Superman faced Zod and Nuclear Man, there were very few punches thrown.  They just grappled clumsily and shot heat vision.  But with the special effects of today, it'd be a piece of cake to make a huge Superman vs. supervillain fight.  Metallo, Lex Luthor in the Kryptonite suit, Parasite, Darkseid, Cybord Superman, whoever...I want a fight in my super hero movie.

February 10, 2010 5:13 pm I was highly disappointed by this year's Super Bowl commercials.  The only ones that got a real laugh out of me were the Denny's screaming chickens, the Doritos electric dog collar, and the Doritos shogun warrior at the gym.
February 10, 2010 5:09 pm Has Crossbones had an epiphany and decided to try to turn good?  Last I remember seeing him, Red Skull's daughter was breaking him out of prison.  I think.  It's been a while.  Anyway, he was still bad then.
February 9, 2010 11:02 am Hooray!  I've actually found someone else who doesn't hate Jeph Loeb's HULK!  A rare breed we are.

Wolfsbane was mine up until they had her do it with Rictor, start acting crazy, and jump ship to X-Force without resolving anything.  I still keep an eye open to see if something good happens with her, but her characterization in X-Force hasn't done much for me.  I liked her better as the naive girl in the New Mutants, the conflicted drama queen in X-Factor, or the devoted daughter in Excalibur. Now she's...I don't know what she is.  She hasn't hardly done anything with the team from what I can tell.

I remember being sad when she disappeared after Mystique nullified her mutant powers and incredibly excited when I found they were bringing her back in the new New Mutants.  I followed her religiously after that until I dropped X-Force.

February 5, 2010 10:08 pm It probably wouldn't be anything to write home about, but I'd give it a look.  Alan Moore would hate me, but that's his problem.  The creators should probably try not to take it too seriously, though.  If they try to give it the feel of the original, it'll probably fail.
February 5, 2010 10:03 pm I liked Ultimates 1 and 2, and I was okay with Civil War (but seriously..."Book of the Decade"?).  I've not read any of Millar's other stuff, come to think of it.  I'm not a big fan of villain protagonist stories, though, so unless this Nemesis character gets destroyed in the end, I probably won't be interested.  Therefore, I won't just wait for the trade, I'll wait for the trade so I can pick it up and flip to the end.
