July 12, 2012 2:17 pm I have had this problem since becoming a father that I cry (or at least tear up) at some of the vaguest things. It could be something stupid as a commercial, or THAT scene in Walking Dead season 2 with Rick running across a field with his shot son in his arms screaming for help.... I'm fighting back tears just thinking about it. That being said, this issue made me stop, and really consider the weight of what just happened. I am not ashamed to say that tears did flow. DAMN YOU KIRKMAN!! I still love you though.....
May 8, 2012 3:09 pm I would say "YES!!", but also see your point. We all know the studios tend to mess things up...given the time. Look at Batman for instance. You have these great Tim Burton movies within a few years of each other. Warner Bros. then gets greedy, Burton walks away, and they give it to Shumacher! Then again look at Superman. 1 and 2 were classics, the 3rd was horrible, and who even remembers the 4th. It will happen. The call of $$ is too strong for the studio execs to walk away.
May 7, 2012 1:59 pm I was very saddened by his death. But, without his impaling, he wouldn't have had one of the best moments and lines in the movie as he did. In my mind, only second to the Hulk/Loki moment....yea THAT one! I know in comics, death is not death. But if Joss has a say in the sequel (and you know he will) it may go either way. Joss uses death, especially death of a beloved character, as a plot device that always has meaning, But it you look at his track record, Coulson make be back. We may have a Buffy, or we may have a Wash situation. Only Joss knows.....
April 10, 2012 2:50 pm I could not agree more! Superman is the whole reason I got into comics as a kid and could not have more love for him. When I saw Chris Reeve fly across the screen, my world changed and introduced me to a whole new experience and new personalities who I still am in love with. I am the definition of a "DC Fanboy", even going as far as to give my son the middle name of Kent, all because of Superman. That being said, Superman is in need of an overhaul. One bringing him back to what we loved. We don't need a story about him walking to earth to find his connection with humanity. We don't need him to have emotional demons to fight, we have that with Batman. We just need him to be what he always has been...THE superhero!
October 11, 2011 1:17 pm This looks fucking awesome! Definitely one of my tops to look forward to...and I'm a DC guy...
June 29, 2011 3:38 pm Ah no......Secret Six.  I get those mixed up.....not that I think anyone else would have caught that.
June 29, 2011 3:35 pm Bane is on the Suicide Squad at the moment....isn't he?  That counts as a "Hero"......kinda......
June 27, 2011 5:00 pm @LucasEwait - I'm there with you man.  This wasn't as bad as Jonah Hex or Wanted, but not as great as The Dark Knight.  I think the real "meat" of the story was there to make an awesome movie.  It seemed to suffer from horrible editing.  It seemed well thought out, but hacked together.  As well as trying to make it into a certain run-time.  If they gave this movie 2.5 hours....it would have metled faces.  In my optinion anyway.  I feel, as fanboys, we tend to quickly jump on bandwagons of hate for the IP's we love and have grown up with.  It's kind of odd when you think about it...
