As someone who holds the Richard Donner Superman as one of the best movies from my childhood (the other being Tim Burton's Batman), I loved this movie.  I feel that Brandon Routh was a "spot on" pick if you were choosing to continue where Christopher Reeve left off.  I think that Singer did an awesome job - even with the crappy "down and out, Lex Luthor, screwing old women" story.  Supes has never just been about fist-to-face action.  Clark Kent is always looking to fit in and never quite does.  And bringing Clark back after years away from Earth was a great start.  As much as I have loved Snyder's other work, I am skeptical of what he will do with our Supes.

January 28, 2011 4:58 pm I'm probably to only one here waiting to see what he does with The Thrashers (my home team).  As corny as this is, it is kind of cool for those of us who are comic geeks AND hockey fans.
January 19, 2011 1:22 pm I will have to give it time.  I thought Heath Ledger was a horrible choice for The Joker...but I promptly ate my words upon release.  Knowing what Nolan is capable of, I have plenty of faith.
October 5, 2010 1:53 pm I would second Nate Fillion!  Who would play a good Zod though...?
August 20, 2010 2:46 pm Well this explains why Willingham is going to Marvel.  I have read both lines as well as watched both series and SOME crossover work from time to time would be great.  I just hope it's not an every issue thing.  I love Buffy...I love Angel...but put them together and it annoys me.
August 20, 2010 8:58 am I only buy this for the Atom backup.  My 4/5 rating is based wholly on that.  The Legionnaire story just is not holding anything for me.
August 16, 2010 8:54 pm I might have to pick this up.  I love his run on Angel...and I'm a little sad he's leaving.
August 16, 2010 4:34 pm Will he still be writing Angel??
August 3, 2010 10:12 am Only change I would make is move Routh to #3. I feel he was a great fit for very big shoes.  But Chris Reeve IS Superman.  No arguments should come from anyone who values the IP.
July 1, 2010 9:05 am I am admittedly a DC guy, but this is one of the few Marvel books that I thoroughly enjoy.
