Having just started reading this title with the previous issue — a somber, Elseworlds-esque tale (or was it?) “team-up” between…

Excited by The Dark Knight and largely ignorant of the Batman universe (I’ve always been more of a Superman guy…

March 21, 2012 11:02 am I really enjoyed "A Princess of Mars" AND the "John Carter" movie (it is a criminal shame how Disney did not promote that film!). Agree with all above - support Barsoom in all its incarnations!
August 3, 2011 11:01 am I just started reading the HC of this with my almost 4-year-old daughter. She is hooked! :-)
July 26, 2011 3:44 pm My 10-year-old son can't wait to find out what Superboy means by wanting to destroy Superman! Welcome to the word of comic book cliffhangers, my boy! We don't watch the cartoon, but we have been enjoying the book. Kudos to Johnny DC for some good work.
July 26, 2011 3:43 pm I was skeptical that this would just be a chance to cash in on Kirby's name. And, sure, to some extent it is that... but I was immediately grabbed by the premise and have high hopes. (I loved learning that Kirby really had suggested sending superhero pictures of our species on the Pioneer space probe!)
July 22, 2011 10:54 am I thought the first issue of this arc was really strong, actually. I especially liked some of the "riffs" on familiar Batman and Superman motifs, only transposed to the other character -- especially the moment when Commissoner Gordon is talking to Superman, only to find that he, too, can disappear at a moment's notice! Gordon's pensive sigh was the perfect capper to that scene.
July 20, 2011 11:43 am Actually, the LSH is one of the few properties escaping "reboot" in September for the most part, yes?
July 19, 2011 4:03 pm So disappointed that the current incarnation of the Maid of Might is coming to an end! Cautiously optimistic that the "new" Supergirl will also be worth reading.
July 19, 2011 4:01 pm I am so glad the guys called this series to my attenion on their recent Pick of the Week. I picked up issue # 2 and loved it, so much so that I went back to read the omnibus of the original series that I had purchased but had not yet read (I know, I know, shame on me!). Can't wait for the third and fourth issues... and, I hope, issues beyond that. They recently solicited a "volume one" of the trade, indicating more to come... I hope?
August 26, 2010 4:30 pm IMO, the best dialogue from "Great Brain Robbery" is when someone asks Flash-Lex in the men's room, "Aren't you going to wash your hands?" and gets this response (perfectly delivered by Rosenbaum): "Um... no... because I'm evil!" :-)

I enjoyed your article, but was surprised, given the topic, you made no mention of the Legion of Super-Heroes.  Did you ever give them a try as a teen?  Does the fact that they're teens in the future add an extra, complicating factor to anything they might tell us about teens today?
