ROCKETEER ADVENTURES #3 (OF 4)

  1. I’m so happy I’ve been picking these up.  They’re soooo good.  I love the little stories and absolutely amazing art.

  2. Art by Bruce Timm? SWEET!

  3. @RyanHoyt  – Sook too!! wow

  4. My only gripe is that we get three short stories. I’d love to see each of them expanded to a full issue length.

  5. Great legs on betty, huh?

  6. this is a great cover been loving this, wish each story was a bit longer tho.

  7. BRUCE TIMM! AWWWYEAHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Easily the best book I’ve picked up recently. Can’t wait!

  9. So looking forward to this issue too! Props are due to Jonathan Ross. He’s ben a massive comics fan and collector for years and recently took a break from his “day job” as a television host (on the level of Letterman in the UK) to live his dream and… just write comics. Good for him. He may not be a great writer yet, but he is spending the time to learn and improve his skill. Living the geek dream! 🙂

  10. I am so glad the guys called this series to my attenion on their recent Pick of the Week. I picked up issue # 2 and loved it, so much so that I went back to read the omnibus of the original series that I had purchased but had not yet read (I know, I know, shame on me!). Can’t wait for the third and fourth issues… and, I hope, issues beyond that. They recently solicited a “volume one” of the trade, indicating more to come… I hope?

  11. Wow! What a dud week. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, from DC or Marvel looked good enough to warrant a purchase.  Thank God for this little gem of a mini series.  This is just the type of format you need if you find the storylines from the major publishers plodding along at a Snail’s pace (I’m looking at you X-Men).  I have not read this issue yet, but in leafing through the book in the store I thought I saw just a couple of sketches from Bruce Timm rather than an actual comic story.  If that’s the case, I’m calling “Shenanigans” on IDW for using his name in the solicitation.

  12. @MrFurious  This was a great issue just for the Ryan Sook story/art. But yeah Bruce Timm did some sketches for a story. But it was a fun read. Definately worth it. I have not finished reading, but this book and Dare Devil are neck and neck in the POTW competition for me.

  13. If only this book could go on forever in this exact way. Industry greats just continually contributing a fun story each issue. One can dream.

  14. I’m a huge fan of Tommy Lee Edwards, but I didn’t like his story. I didn’t think it fit into Rocketeer.

  15. I think the inclusion of the prose story kinda ruined this for me. I didn’t even attempt to read it. Hopefully I will go back and read it later, but I found it off-putting.
