September 14, 2010 3:46 pm Oh NOW I know what's scary! The ingredients list says "safflower oil AND/OR beef fat". What a horrifying mystery that apparently not even Hostess knows the answer to.
September 14, 2010 3:10 pm Ooh! They should put a collection of those old Hostess ads they used to run up on the dc comics app! Those where great! Also, if anything, those balls should be described as scary.
September 14, 2010 2:35 pm Why does the Flash Cakes box describe them as "scary"?
September 14, 2010 2:24 pm Hey Paul, how'd you get Sam Elliot to narrate your written word?
September 8, 2010 3:19 pm I read the first 2 trades of Chew and caught up on issues through 12. I love Chew because it has a good enough concept for any medium but the writer and artist continually make it the comic-iest thing out there. When I opened issue 11 and they had me read page 18 first in a uniquely comicy way that would make Tarintino and Nolan jealous that they make movies instead of comics, I said (in my head(I think)) in my best Mortal Combat Anouncer voice "Comics...WIN!". So good! And Chew only is getting better. It is a universe so different from anything else but it isn't at all difficult to follow. I love it, and that's why it's the best.
August 26, 2010 4:30 am Very nice review, Ron. To be honest when I was skimming through twitter and saw that this was the POTW I thought Connor must have had the pick. Nice to see some DC love coming from Ron! And The Flash isn't even in this book! (I kid I kid). I'm getting this book digitaly from the DC app once the price drops, so I'm always 2 issues behind but the book is just awesome. I have read mostly DC for a long while but I haven't spent to much time with these particular characters untill now. But I love it! This book is reminiscent of 52 in that way. I can't wait till two weeks from now so I can read the one from two week ago! (?!)
August 24, 2010 7:54 pm I love that Robin is driving the 1940's Batmobile so that Batman can stay poised to punch fleeing criminals in the back of the head as they drive by. That's crime fighting on the go! "No time to pull over and engage these thugs , Robin. Just get as close as you can. Up on the sidwalk a little bit is fine, old chum."
August 24, 2010 7:44 pm I love that toy one! It does all the awesome Batmobile stuff! Also, I like Lex Luthors "C-3PO arms" feature...
August 16, 2010 2:10 pm It's a pretty standard week for me comics wise. No big stand out books but I'm still pretty excited for them. I'm finding it strange and terribly interesting that I, an almost entirely new Marvel reader, am so thoroughly enjoying all the Agengers books I'm getting. Weirder still is the negativity I often see towards these books from Marvelites from way back...why is this? Is there something about them only a newby can appreciate? Anywhos... Breakfast: Hmmmm...Steak and Eggs? NO! Biscuits and Gravy! WAIT! Steak and eggs with a side of biscuits and gravy... and then I just lay on the floor for the rest of the day as to not upset my heart further...
August 13, 2010 3:49 am "The plastic tips at the ends of shoelaces are called Aglets. Their true purpose is sinister."  I couldn't stop laughing...
