March 11, 2011 9:36 pm I'm not sure when 'motion comics' become animation, but i also don't care. This looks like a huge leap forward.
January 14, 2011 9:41 pm Jay Chou is pretty huge in Asia. This is not even the first comic book adaptation he's done. He did a movie version of Initial D. He built a pretty big career as a rapper over there believe it or not.
November 16, 2010 8:51 pm I would be curious to see (but realize we'll never know) how this would have done as a series of Marvel Graphic Novels. Why can't they bring that back?
November 16, 2010 8:48 pm Looks pretty damn good.
November 13, 2010 5:08 pm I sort of wish this didn't have to be the obligatory origin story. Be fun to just jump right to a Rebirth type story...set in a world where GL already exists.
November 10, 2010 10:10 pm I don't play the newest edition, but I still liked this book, I bet it's even more fun for people playing the game. They very clearly want to evoke the fun parts of the game.
October 13, 2010 10:06 pm I think some of the confusion may come in the whole notion of this as an 'investment'. If you think that you are investing in something and that investment doesn't perform, you're upset. It's proven that the majority of people will stay in losing investment hoping it goes up. I guess, in a way, the fans ARE investing in the industry because they are a pretty loyal bunch and come back each week rain or shine (I know I know, store OWNERS truly buy books, but whatever). Nevertheless, unless you are looking for an ROI that = 100% good times, comics are the wrong investment, cuz, well they aren't an investment.

i don't actually know who marvel's newest sustainable character is...I have a sinking feeling it's Daken.

October 7, 2010 12:29 pm At this point does it really matter how or why a character comes back? It's an absurd convention, the quicker they move past the 'how' of the ressurection and get back to story the better.
October 6, 2010 11:34 pm I love Opena's art, but you gotta admit, a couple of those from behind running panels made it look like Wolverine was wearing Mom-Jeans...
