it makes sense narratively though, for that suit to be such a clunky hot mess.

Man, I whole heartily agree with Josh on the Scarlett Johnansson thing, I'm glad that wasn't me just being bias based on the fact that I had her some rumblings about Emily Blunt playing Black Widow. I felt like I was holding that against the movie, but maybe she just wasn't that great...so thank iFanboy for validating my 'eh' attitude towards the Scarjo.

The prototype of Cap's shield being used to level out Tony's element machine was pretty hilarious, although it also kind of made me nerd bristle that it was getting such a short shrift, but you know, it's just the prototype, no need to make with the majesty of Cap's weapon o'choice. Save that moment for Joe Johnston and co.

I loved Sam Rockwell's self tanned hands.

This movie felt more like a loose confederation of scenes than a really cohesive narrative, so ultimately I feel like it was a bunch of great moments equalling a not that great movie.

I guess I assumed that the dude from the 'Ten RIngs' wasn't THE guy, maybe that was me applying what I knew of the comics to the movies, but I never got the sense that he was supposed to be The Mandarin or even Mandarin  Lite.  Also,  I thought Stane had a similar ring on as the leader of the 'Ten Rings,' and I kinda took that to mean that they were confederates brought together by some insidious leader/grander conspiracy....and then I have this whole stupid theory about each ring bearer being one of ten and controlling one of ten of the Mandarin's crime rings and yada-yada-yada-yada...

I don't know, I guess the point is that my life is hollow.

I so awesome to see a guy so fired up about writing comics as Jonathan Ross is, it's like he's spent the past two years waiting for someone to ask him to talk about it and Ron finally gave him his forum. Awesome, I'm definitely going to check out 'Turf' based on that interview and how psyched Ross is...

April 6, 2010 5:25 pm This happens every time there's even the faintest whisper of love actually on this site, why? Because it's awesome. Feel some feelings, y'all.
April 6, 2010 11:49 am I love me some Wordballoon and I love me some John Siuntres. Not to tell you how to do your bizness boys, but I would like to recommend you and John collaborate on a new podcast called, 'Smilin' Stan Lee Says,' wherein Siuntres reads all of Stan Lee's tweets doing his 'The Man' voice. Goofgnewt said something about that on twitter and I've had in my brain ever since.
April 6, 2010 11:42 am AND with this bit of news, iFanboy just became the central hub for all comic book love/discussion.  I mean, you get Vince B. on here along with King Dap every once in a while, then you'll have the whole thing sewn up.
