I, Loki, have returned from my long hiatus, and I have spent this time away from ifanboy catching up on my reading and observing how the House of Lies has portrayed me. For once, I am not disappointed.

Straczynski, spurious cur though he may be, has finally seen fit to show that Loki is indeed the fair of heart, the true Asgardian, concerned for my brothers such as… ah, Baldur. Yes, well past mistakes aside, I think Baldur and I have come to an understanding as only those that have been trying to kill each other for centuries (and occasionally succeeding) can.

Meanwhile my half-blood brother Thor has revealed his true colors as a devious, preening, power-hungry, spiteful wretch. Not willing to share the throne with its other rightful heirs. Oh, see Baldr, we have so much in common.

As for my portrayal as a woman, I will accept it, as it is within my rights to present myself as I so choose. And this Olivier Coipel , this supercilious Frenchman, actually has the ability to depict me nearly as wonderfully fearsome as indeed I am in person. If you doubt me, then turn to the last page and look into my eyes. That’s right, mongrel scum, I can see you. My eyes pierce every dimension, even the pages of the very book you hold in your hands. Try to run and hide from me, I dare you.

Run as far as you think you can, and I will still return. With more reviews.
