Great story so far. I was never a Swamp Thing fan in the past, but I decided to take a chance on the series with the New 52 and so far, I have not regretted that decision one bit. The story is mysterious and leaves me wanting more, and while the art isn’t amazing at first glance, it is incredibly appropriate for the tone of the book. On top of that, the panel layout of every page is interesting and unique, further aiding the organic/earthy theme of the book. Plus, innocent people’s heads are being turned backwards and are trying to kill other people with axes, so that is cool too.
