I really have almost no experience with Superboy the character prior to this. I didn’t read Teen Titans, and I never watched Smallville. was he young Superman, sort of like Smallville? Is he from the future or the past, and fell into some kind of time warp? was he a clone? No Idea what came before, so I can really only tell you about this comic, not how it is the same or different than what came before.

So, I think I am who DC was aiming for here. They hit the target pretty well. The book is pretty good, with good characters and an interesting plot with lots of mysteries going on. I definitely want to read more.

Their take on growing up in Kansas is pretty funny. When Superboy walks right past the old lady in a burning building I did a double take and laughed. I also like what they have done with Lois Lane in this and Action Comics. She sot of reminds me Colombo, or the reporters who busted Watergate open.

I give this one 4 out 5 stars.

I will be reading it.
