I don't know why, but ever since Bendis left this book, it has felt
decidedly second tier.
Where the Bendis incarnation was full of nostalgia picks, it was also still filled with heavy hitters. As entertaining as I find Cho in Hercules, he really is just a smart Rick Jones. And really, why did USAgent come back.
All these characters just feel like a giant fan wank instead of anything really interesting.
The payoff to a battle between Reed and Hank should be interesting. And it was cool to see Hank be able to hold his own in an argument of poor decisions with Reed.
I really don't like the lack of Khoi Pham on this book. It isn't that I thought he was that good, but the new guy seems like a poor cross between his style and Lenil Yu's.
I don't like the idea of Cho confusing friendliness on Cassie's part with romantic interest.
Slott's knowledge of Marvel history is really impressive, and I love it when he throws in stuff like reminding everyone that Scott Lang was part of the FF, even if it was during the slutty Sue Reedless era.
