My impression after the last issue was that Dan Slott was going for a Giffen/DeMatteis JLI feel.  After this issue, it seems more simply that he's going for 'trainwreck' -- trainwreck in the most awesome sense.  Hank Pym, as a leader, is making incredibly poor decisions and at first I thought this was a flaw in the book.  Then I realized -- 'this is a team assembled by Loki, through trickery, to cause chaos.'  So, yeah, it's a whole slew of people with terrible decision-making skills -- except poor Cassie Lang, who nobody listens to because she's a kid.  The fact that I can see the trainwreck coming is actually a credit to Slott's writing.

Also, he deserves credit for inventing the teamup of US Agent & Quicksilver.  These are two of the most obnoxious characters in the history of the Avengers, and he sends them on a road trip.  And they don't EVEN the bitchiest manfight in the issue.  (That's Pym and Reed Richards). 

Like I said: trainwreck.  And I can't wait to see what happens next.   

I just want to get Cassie out of there.  Poor Cassie.  We all think you'd be better off with the Young Avengers, too.
