Justice League International for President!

For the life of me, I never had a Justice League book I felt like was my Justice League. When I was fresh back into comics I remembering enjoying Alex Ross’s Justice Maxi-Series, but as years would pass, I never connected with the Justice League title.

On a whim, an upcoming trip, and recommendations from iFanboy, I picked up the first 9 or so issues of Justice League: Generation Lost. And I knew that was my team. Even though the flagship Justice League was great last week, this issue sold me home on the idea that this is my Justice League.

The fun and adventure (and humor) continues in the new #1. Not quite the magic I remember, from Winik’s JL:GL, but one issue in and I am still sold. But also, I will admit to a fault, I am fighting the continuity demon on my shoulder and listening the good story telling angel instead.

This issue had all the fun of a new Avengers Team announcement issue.

However, this delivered on all the goods. This is what I was really hoping for, high flying adventure, sub plots, new characters to grow on.

This is only the 2nd book in pile of 9 new #1s. But this has got me more excited than I have been in a long time to be a comic fan.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good

  1. This should have been a 4 on Art, but seriously does not matter. LOVED IT!

  2. Thanks for the review. I’ve enjoyed Jurgens Booster Gold run, but did not like the majority of his Time Masters mini, which left me cold on picking up this series.

I will probably give this three issues before I make a final decision on reading this run.

  3. This book was AWESOME!!!!!!!

The jokes were funny and gave the team some personality right out of the gate. The set the terms early that Booster will have his hands full and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Written by DAN JURGENS Art by AARON LOPRESTI and MATT RYAN. These guys ” killed it ” this issue. They really did.
