Okay to start this off, I wanna say, I've always loved superheroes, however, I never had really sat down and read comic books before, I would glance at them on occasion, but never really buy one and continue reading the story arc...Until DC's new 52. Now with that out of the way, here is my review, warning...it may not be a very good review... To start off, I was just browsing the comic section with my friend, this comic just happened to catch my eye as I was reaching for Justice League #1. I then bent down lower to take a look as I never heard of this, I recognized 2 characters from the cover, of course Batman and Green Lantern "Guy" version, So without any research I just brought it, I know, impulse decisions..anyway. I loved how the story kinda does what I actually thought when I tried to imagine it to be. People asking where is Superman? Where is Hal? Batman even? It just wasn't the same, they even joke about it within the story, I mean I litterally laughed out loud whenever I read and saw Guy's reaction to the news that Booster Gold was to be the leader of this Justice League International. He walked out at that moment. Throughout this book they seemed to pick good characters that can feed on each other, in terms of development, humor, and of course bonds of friendship. Overall this book is, in my opinion, a good start to this story arc, you don't really know what's going on in terms of the villains and such but you get introduced to this new Justice League International, which is important, I mean how can you actually start to feel for a character whenever you really don't know "them" their flaws, their positives. It helps add emotion to the story. I suggest getting this one as well as #2 because once you read this one, you'll want to instantly read what happens next. I'm gonna write a review for issue #2 soon. But I suggest you read both now, get up to date, because I think something/someone BIG is gonna cause some trouble for our newly built Justice League International.
