………I, Vampire #6

Seriously at this point thats all I should have to say. this series has been consistant throughout and hasn’t missed a beat even when interacting with the greater DCU. This issue is a prelude to the comic crossover with Justice League Dark but gladly does not feel like a fill in issue.

Beginning with the art Andrea Sorrentino continues to be one of my favorite artists and I’m pretty sure this series wouldn’t be anywhere near as good without the art it enjoys. the cover is enticing and is not misleading as the inside art doesn’t have any less quality. The art is dark, brooding, and with batman co-starring these last couple of issues I continuously want to see Sorrentino doing a batman book full time, but I digress.

The story like I said before is set up but it has alot of action and one or two surprsies (or at least half-surprises). The character work and greater story arc get equal time and Tig, my favorite character, gets a few awesome moments in this issue. If I had to give any criticism its that the issue doesn’t have any moments that stood out as a “wow” factor moment and one could have been but the structure of the page really hurt it. That said it was a great issue that continues to prove that vampires are not sparkly and can still be horrifying

In Short: the book continues to be fantastic with the art still standing out above all else and while this issue like last has no single “wow” moment its cliffhanger and overall solid story and twists keep the story as good as ever

Story: 4 - Very Good
